I still think that is a bit of backhander to Milne.
It is not Milnes fault if he is caught lone man out against two defenders in a marking contest. And how many times has that happened this year, and especially in the first half last night.
He was front and center at many contests last night, but generally has found it hard since the absence of Gehrig, who never let the ball go behind him.
He will always struggle with Roo because he is so mobile, and usually underruns the flight of the ball.
And Kosi is entirely an unknown force...
He plays stoppages really well.
The point is you dont get to have his record if you are a hack. Full stop.
good points,

never called him a hack but now that things are not going our way in the past 2-3 years milne has lost his ability to hurt the opposition. By being able to add the front and centre crumbing to his game means that yes he will get the easier ones but in tougher games (say interstate) he can make more of an effect.

Not his fault at all that kosi, roo and allen were struggling to create marking options in that first quarter but I saw milne start to choose not to go for the marking contest and insteed stay down and crumb it. This is a new tick in the box for hopefully a more rounded forward pocket

mark it might have been better to listen to it live, because watching it was a little too emotional for me, damn I take free kicks against us personally lol
