During 1942/43 we used the Prahran ground - our record was 5 wins and 7 losses.
Between 1944 and 1946 Sth Melb used the Junction Oval until they moved back to Albert Park. In 1942 and 1943 Sth Melb. had used Optus Oval as their home ground.

St Kilda played home games in Prahan and after the war Fitzroy were the other team to play at junction oval, as they moved from Brunswick St
I believe South Melb were playing at lake side

As the VFA was completely in recess, we used Pahrans Toorak Park ground in this period.
when the Junction was vacated by the millitary and we were able to play there again, we were joined there by South as it was closer to thier Lake Oval ground (and a shorter travel for thier supporters) than Princes Park.
Your go.

Here's a Q on goalkickers.
Some of us have been fortunate enough to see the great man (Lockett) play. We now have the G-Train to idolise. Others (Riewoldt, Milne) have kicked big bags recently.
In 2005, Milne kicked 11.0 v brisbane - a mighty special effort.
We all know that Lockett kicked bags of 10 plus (including some bags of 10 plus goals straight).
The Q is - apart from Lockett who is the last Saint to kick (at least) 10 goals straight? When and against who?

We all know that Tony Lockett's first kick at VFL/AFL level resulted in a goal round 4, 1983 and then Stewart Loewe scored 2 goals with his first two kicks.
Question: Who was the next St Kilda after Lockett and loewe to kick a goal with there first kick in VFL/AFL Footy and when was it?
