well played saints....just a few minor changes eg mini and raph gone..cant carry them need to deveolp. This is the first time i've been overly negative toward raph but he has been at the club for a very long time and is just a shell of a player who is way out of his depth. If he was new I would hope for some upside but not now.
Mini is just mini...just does not hurt the opposition
We have to now develop players and that means turn over the experienced players who don't consistantly contribute

we made some simple mistakes yes but our pressure was back... our attack was starting to work... the only lapse we had was last 10 min of 2ndbigred wrote:Yeah 11 pages of it on this thread.2 and a half quarters?? did you watch that game at all.. played bad footy for maybe 10 minutes
rest the game they could barely break through infact other than that period they kicked 5 goals and 1 was from a "technicall
" 50m
also dont be fooled by the behinds... almost half were rushed and most others kicked from pretty tough angles

Yes, but they had opportunities to score that we didn't. The game was played in their half all night. That's just the fact of the matter.wasaintsfan wrote:we made some simple mistakes yes but our pressure was back... our attack was starting to work... the only lapse we had was last 10 min of 2ndbigred wrote:Yeah 11 pages of it on this thread.2 and a half quarters?? did you watch that game at all.. played bad footy for maybe 10 minutes

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

was also a fact last year.... we relish the high pressure cookers.... we allowed teams to have lots of shots.... but it was also from heavy on the boundry linesThinline wrote:Yes, but they had opportunities to score that we didn't. The simple dropped mark on his own is what the warranted criticism was for.jackyboy wrote:Watching the delayed telecast on TV now after reading the match thread during the game, tell me what else Raph was meant to do when he took out Armfield? Not run hard for a tough ball get in his attacking 50?
Its stupid to criticise an easy target for something like that

Well done to a few guys that get bagged week in week out, Gilbert was good, Jones was good, McEvoy good, Armo is a player even Macqualter was better around the ground early. Kosi looked like 09 Kosi again. Some positive signs and apart from that one where the umpires forgot that they put the whistles away we would have won. The umps got spooked about the interchange and tried some late game tinkering to avoid controversy.
