We were practically a kick away from a premiership, we have no need for an overpriced, misbehaved, coleman medallist.
Also, he kicks bags on a lesser opponent, but I see no evidence of him peforming against the better full backs in the comp....so how is he better come finals time?

Correction: we WERE within a kick of winning a flag. Past does not = future.SainterK wrote:I have been thinking about it, and I still don't like the idea at all...

also, on your logic, we should delist milne as he has the same track record as Fev.
Yes, Fev does not kick bags on good full backs because the only avenue they have.
Imagine having to match up on both him and Roo.
Surely, we must have a dud ruckman we couldl give them?

One thing is for sure.
The cats would not have had 3 defenders on Roo all the time if Fev was at full forward. No team would be that dumb.

I was depressed about the game on the weekend, i am now looking forward to next year, espcecially if we can get someone like Fev, i am sick of people saying we cannot trade away draft picks because they are for the future, in my opinion our window is now and i want a flag and i will do anything and trade anyone to let us win one.
We were so close last week, it may take another year, it may take another 10 to get another chance, i do not want to be thereabouts for the next 10 years. Lets trade to win, and Fev will allow us
Do anything to get him
Maguire+ pick 16 for Fev
Blues could then on trade pick 16 to get a decent forward off someone else or to get Lake from the Dogs. Maguire may be able to be used in their forward line

1- past cannot exceed future. Impossible. THE Brendan Fevola camp expects at least four clubs to consider offering the controversial full-forward a new home.
Having initially been disappointed by Carlton's public announcement that the Coleman medallist would definitely be up for trade, Fevola's management have been telling football people that St Kilda, Brisbane Lions, Sydney and Collingwood were prospective bidders.

wow.
And this
The possibility of the Saints dealing with Carlton on Fevola would make for interesting negotiations.
Some football industry talk last night had it that St Kilda would offer Luke Ball and a draft pick for Fevola.
That would free room in St Kilda's salary cap, and give Carlton another in-and-under ball getter (it has already agreed in principle to recruit Brock McLean) to assist Judd.
Ball and Judd went at No. 2 and No. 3 in the 2001 national draft.

wow.
Collingwood - you'd think they'd having no player who would fit the bill for a swap. Carlton would want a key forward or back. Maybe they might take Chris Bryan back!!
Sydney - O'Keefe and maybe a younger player like Ed Barlow?
St Kilda - I reckon it would have to be Kosi & Goose. They'd would want Goddard but he won't be going anywhere.

Anyway, my tip is that Fevola will remain with Carlton.
Potentially an unworkable situation.

if a deal did come, i can see him in sydney colours.
If CArlton want him out badly enough, and I reckon Judd will, then they'll cut a deal just to get rid of him. Including copping part of his contract.

There is a VERY good chance he is going to be a Saint methinks, it is just what they will want in return......not prepared to give up Ball or Kosi. They can have Goose (sorry Goose!) and our first or second round pick.

i love goose, but that deal wont work, Fev is a star full foward goose has played 13 games in 3 years.
we would need to give a ball or kosi and a draft pick
