Today is all about admitting failure

There are no excuses for what happened in 2018 and the club apologists and Finnis supporters were all about damage control last year. From blaming the head recruiter to blaming the playing group, to blaming on field leaders, to blaming the assistant coaches. And how is it that the people who appointed Richo and extended his tenure are still there?

What a farce this whole year has been. All they were doing was biding their time until they could sack the bloke and they had guys like Rooy openly discussing private information about Richo's contract so as to help justify the decision that had probably been made in mid to late 2018

Gee, that leadership course in the USA was money well spent. Finnis should be standing down.

Finnis on SEN described the decision to extend Richo's contract last year for 2 years as "PRUDENT".

That just shows how out of touch Mr Any Lavatory You Like is!!!!

The injuries we have had is plenty of excuse.

There may be some changes with Assistants depending on the new coach, but I see no reason to change the administration, can't see any issue with Finnis ,Lethlean , Basset, imo we are heading the right direction.
Well said. These guys have been running the club with class, have kept issues in-house and there has been no scandals. I say they are doing a great job. I think people get confused as to peoples roles and what they do.

We failed on all fronts before the serious injuries set in to Paddy, Roobo, and Bruce and that was early 2018. Richo was making mistakes with team selection and his game plan stunk in those first few games. Last year there was no excuse.

When the Saints were sitting at 1 win and a draw at round 11 or 12, The rot had set in. The judgement on his future had already been made, but we had to just wait until the AFL approved his sacking
