Surely the stadium is named after some crass commercial interest?

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Ok Ted that's your opinion . IMO Collingwood would not agree to play Gold Coast in Townsville to me Its shows how irrelevant we have become . As I said if this is what we have to do then do it but I don't see it as a blessing .tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sun 04 Nov 2018 10:31pm Its a Gold Coast home game so what choice does the club have?
Saints are playing an interstate game at a neutral venue which neither side has played at before. Its better than playing Gold Coast at their home. Lets be serious, its therefore a blessing.

Collingwood don't get to 'agree' to anything. They play wherever the AFL tells them to.guitars4 wrote: ↑Sun 04 Nov 2018 10:57pmOk Ted that's your opinion . There's no way the AFL would send Collingwood to Townsville though, as there's far more revenue to be had by filling Gold Coast's home ground.

I've been to a few games at Metricon....The home ground advantage is diminished by shutting the crowd up by leading on the scoreboard andtedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sun 04 Nov 2018 10:31pm Saints are playing an interstate game at a neutral venue which neither side has played at before.
