Marshall is not up to it, he will survive until we recruit some AFL standard talls.Linton Lodger wrote: ↑Thu 17 May 2018 7:54pm I'm not too concerned about Lonie (reckon this will be his last chance) with Carlisle out and therefore not an option to play forward, the forward structure will need to be changed to small and speedy. Its Marshall's retention that bothers me, he cannot play key forward and is way too slow. White's non-inclusion is also annoying.

We are definitely going for a smaller side. Change of gameplan perhaps.

We can just use our existing game plan as we can't kick anyway so just kick it along the ground to all our small forwards.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Thu 17 May 2018 11:23pm We are definitely going for a smaller side. Change of gameplan perhaps.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Just incredible....most wanted him delisted last year....what has changed?
What evidence does Richo require to finally put a line through his name?

can't wait till Lonie kicks 7 and lays 10 tackles. you'll be eating your words!
oops. that was another player, another team, and a 3 game rookie selection.

He couldn’t even do that in the Auskick game at half timedesertsaint wrote: ↑Fri 18 May 2018 12:18am can't wait till Lonie kicks 7 and lays 10 tackles. you'll be eating your words!

Lonie managed to directly turn the ball over five times in the second quarter for Sandringham last week.desertsaint wrote: ↑Fri 18 May 2018 12:18am can't wait till Lonie kicks 7 and lays 10 tackles. you'll be eating your words!

That kinda form is most definitely worthy of a call up.

Agree 100% terrible replacements. Selectors must be thinking we will suddenly kick 150 points to the Pies 120

Ahhh!
You’ve got me thinking now..
AFL memo to Richo and Bucks:
“Both your teams are farked up and your drivel game is on 7MATE because the punters all want to watch some Royalty......so let’s FFS just go for a shootout on Saturday night. No defensive BS boys OK? I want to hear Robbo and Gerard talk about a flashback to the 90’s/free flowgame of footy for one week!”

Re: Team vs Pies
This team was selected with no ambition of winning. Seems to me the club wants to lose supporters because they sure are doing what is necessary to do so. Again, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

When the Collingwood backmen have wrecked their backs from picking the ball up so much in the first half St. Kilda returns after half time and strikes. I like it.Jacks Back wrote: ↑Thu 17 May 2018 11:29pmWe can just use our existing game plan as we can't kick anyway so just kick it along the ground to all our small forwards.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Thu 17 May 2018 11:23pm We are definitely going for a smaller side. Re: Team vs Pies
Do we think we're playing against garden gnomes? Acres (191cm), Gilbert (194cm) and Carlisle (198cm) out for Sinclair (180cm), Rice (184cm) and Lonie (174cm). There's half a metre in height gone from the team in 3 selections.
We have selected 12 players under 6ft this week. I reckon my nephew's Under 14's team is taller. That's not even a joke.

Would have put White in the side and played Shane Savage forward of centre instead of Lonie.

Re: Team vs Pies
Marshall is an interesting one.
The question we had watching the coverage last week was, with Hickey and Marshall in the side, why was Gilbert rucking including in the centre square when Hickey was (it was assumed) resting?
This gave Sandilands a free passage and Freo an easy entry and goals.
Why wasn't Marshall rucking?
