Re: Carro the hypocrite
I had a little correspondence with Ms Wilson, during the height of the E'dope matter. A certain journalist acted as the conduit, and suggested she might benefit from understanding some of the real nuts and bolts.
From that experience, I'm with those who suggest she is more interested in the interpersonal relationships, the 'goss' and what might titillate, rather than cold hard facts, and how those facts lie within the context of what's right, and what's wrong.
Some time later, Ms Wilson went to print with a E'dope story that was filled with easily identifiable factual errors - she'd merely channeled a couple of vested parties, put the pen away, and concluded job done.
Somewhat enraged, I contacted the above mentioned journalist. When I explained the errors, his response went like 'Oh no, she hasn't has she?'. I assured him she had, he had a read, agreed, and went down a floor or 2 to suggest she publish corrections.
When he got back in touch, to relay what he'd done, he concluded by saying 'I doubt she'll do anything'.
She didn't, and I haven't read or listened to her since.
I am reminded here of something Seymour Hersh said in an interview, recently. When asked what he thought about a particularly warm current issue dominating the media, Hersh said, rather angrily:
"It doesn't matter what I think, it only matters what I know".

At the time, certain journalists were unable to publish the facts about the beginning of the saga as the person with said facts was bullied and threatened to say nothing. They had been lined up to go public but backed out at the last minute.
For the same reasons, it would be very foolish to discuss on a public forum.
All I am saying is that there is another reality here that only a handful of people know.
i apologise if this challenges some of you.

Is this a reality as vast as space and as timeless as infinity.
It is the middle ground between light and shadow , between science and superstition , and it lies between the pit of man's fear and the summit of his knowledge.
This is the dimension of imagination .
It is an area which we will call
The Twilight Zone

Well if it's so foolish to discuss on a public forum, why discuss it on a public forum? Ipso facto, you must be foolish and therefore not to be taken seriously.manoffewwords wrote:At the time, certain journalists were unable to publish the facts about the beginning of the saga as the person with said facts was bullied and threatened to say nothing. Come clean, spill the beans... all the above we already know, FFS we're not talking the geopolitics of the Middle East or Eastern Europe, you'd be surprised how unchallenged many of us are by knowing that there has always been "another reality that only a handful know" FFS dont get me started on that track...manoffewwords wrote:At the time, certain journalists were unable to publish the facts about the beginning of the saga as the person with said facts was bullied and threatened to say nothing. what, so you think the CIA will have you marked for revealing intel on their agent Kim Duthie? stop flattering yourself with notions of being an insider yourself and withholding the juice as though everyone else cant handle the truth or it would be foolish to reveal or discuss on a public forum because it would blow the collective mind of society ...
It's tattle and gossip and ripe for discussion, who are you Caro? feeling special about keeping mum about what you wont reveal, protecting sources and being privy to secrets that you dare not speak of - yet tease others with your knowing of.... that old power trip
cough it up or stop big noting about being in on the special secret that us proles cant handle

Re: Carro the hypocrite
Seems like Caro continues to try and create an issue between Roo and the Club.
For weeks she has been harping on about 'a problem' between the parties over next season.
BUT on Monday night on Footy Classified' she seemed to step back from her position by making the following statement/question on the issue
'surely there's a problem?' .
Apparently today in her column in The Age she's gone back to her forthright opinion (as fact) that there is a problem.
I'm not sure what her motives are for this seeming infatuation with Roo?
Maybe his management are fuelling it by leaking bits of information/misinformation to her?
Or maybe she just doesn't like Roo?
Or maybe she just doesn't like St Kilda?

Something you seemingly still find difficult to do.
Maybe if I replaced the word 'infatuation' with 'obsession' you might better understand the point I was making.
But then again your natural inclination was to go the 'schoolgirl' route so changing the word would probably not aid your comprehension in any significant way.

Sorry Folks, just felt the need to post this in this thread as well as the other one:
I think the Club and Roo should be left to make the decision for the best for both parties, then, if they can not agree, the Club makes the final call!!!!!
All media build up at the moment, just bottom feeders like Caro looking for a story that isn't there, just trying to extract some form of revenge or poison our/he's image!!!!!

Sorry Magic - shouldn't have made it personal - but it drives me nuts on here that people demonise and belittle Caroline Wilson, especially when that's coupled with casual sexism. So - just sticking to my own opinion - I think she does a difficult job incredibly well and haven't noticed any particular bias against the Saints, certainly no obsession with Riewoldt. I can't remember the last time she wrote about him.Mr Magic wrote:Obviously older than you as I'm able to both read and comprehend.freely wrote:She's not a schoolgirl, Mr Magic - but I wonder how old you are making stupid comments like this.Mr Magic wrote: I'm not sure what her motives are for this seeming infatuation with Roo?
