FFS he's played 38 games with about 7 in a row without injury. Was fantastic last week was BOG v Coll and close v Hwathorn.

I think his injury woes are irrelevant to him looking soft. Acres has already passed him now. It's simple, billings needs to develop in the 2s rather than being crushed every weekCURLY wrote:FFS he's played 38 games with about 7 in a row without injury. How's the bont and cripps going?

Re: Billings
He was extremely disappointing. There have been excuses for Jack for a long time now. He played like a first gamer tonight and unfortunately for Jack he will always be judged against the Bont. Not his fault of course but is how it is. He's miles behind him and getting further behind every week. Hope for our sake he comes good after his 4th pre season.

We could have picked the bont. Exactly what we need really, Can tear the game apart. Crips nearly just as good. He's not soft he's learning to play AFL. His natural game to fly for grabs snap goals has been changed completely.sainters85 wrote:I think his injury woes are irrelevant to him looking soft. OK, I only saw the first quarter, but the criticism of Billings does seem a bit disproportionate on here recently.8856brother wrote:He was extremely disappointing. Last year when we beat the Dogs in that comeback, he was justabout BOG, and had some very good games for us earlier in the year.
Obviously he is out of form, possibly carrying something and down on confidence....but we all know the kid can play, and play very well.
Another preseason and more games will see him turn into a really good player for us.

Billings and future second round would be fair.
Lots of people claiming inside knowledge from the club.
Hard to make sense of it all.

A whole year would be ridiculous. He costed us the third pick. Fingers crossed that he will have a break through season next year after his 4 preseasonwhiskers3614 wrote:Maybe needs a whole year in VFL to adjust and get confidence back?CURLY wrote:He's not soft he's learning to play AFL. Had the ball in the clear tonight probably only once and kicked it 5m over Roo's head on the lead.

The elephant in the room is that he's a wuss.
And after two years, I'm still trying to understand why people think he's a good kick.
