Re: Dermott Brereton
One of his nicknames as a player was "Kid" and he was a thug so I reckon we can call him kid basher. He reminds me of a Ramones' song with the lyrics "beat on the brat with a baseball bat".
Still waiting for closure ... if you get my drift.

Hahahaha I love the Ramones! That song would be perfect for a Dermie career highlights reel. A shame the people who choose the music for such things generally have absolutely no taste. They'd most likely choose some garbage like Coldplay or something as equally irrelevant.ctqs wrote:One of his nicknames as a player was "Kid" and he was a thug so I reckon we can call him kid basher. Re: Dermott Brereton
Dermot. He kept on praising Dawson about his reach and ability to SPOIL so effectively; and when Bwoose missed one on the run, "Zac had enough presence to push Bruce to put him off";
yet when Bruce was in the square and got the ball to Rooey for that soccer kick on the line, "Bruce has such a good reach, it's just so hard to spoil him" but who was behind Bruce trying a spoil?
Zac, the best spoiler on the planet according to the Germ, 6 minutes earlier!

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

Re: Dermott Brereton
Brereton has a long history of being anti the Saints - years ago he was approached to Coach - he wasn't interested because the Saints "didn't have the cattle" - Stan Alves took the team he didn't want to a Grand Final. There was an incident at Waverley Park - Nicky Windmar got weeks for reacting to something Brereton had done. Someone has mentioned the kinghit of Spud at the MCG - don't think Spud has ever forgotten it. Any chance he gets he runs the club down - even more since Watters was sacked.

Re: Dermott Brereton
Jono Brown put Dermott in his place a few times about Paddy.
Hilarious when he kept repeating" Freo are bashing up" the Saints.
Who got bashed? 8 goals to zip in the last. Seems like Freo were bashed out of it.
Eddie was OK in my opinion.

Re: Dermott Brereton
Jono Brown was a footballer’s footballer. Like Paddy is and will be. The older appreciates what the younger is all about and the journey he is on.
Dermie, as talented as he was on the footy field, strutted and sniped around like a demented, epileptic cassowary on ice.
Only Jono’s opinion on this topic matters; to Paddy and to anyone with a brain.

Let's just say that he was 'wind assisted'.Dr Spaceman wrote: Dermie, as talented as he was on the footy field, strutted and sniped around like a demented, epileptic cassowary on ice.
