Very interesting, albeit disappointing about P66

No doubt a pompous, self righteous, antagonistic and at times just a club apologist who always liked to counter, rather than suggest IMO ....
However, he was never nasty or personal(except one occasion) .
Has a logical and simplistic viewpoint, would have been better served giving ideas and not just shooting down others... But he made many valid points.
Therefore a valuable contributor I would have thought?!

A good StK supporter ... No question
Welcome back BigMart..... missed your inputs. Hey how do you think Cripps will go this Saturday?????   Joke ofcourse, not a 'bait' :P :P

Hi Loris, no need for the niceties...

Cripps will run into a couple of open goals on the back of the modern press and midfield dominance.
Maybe an early goal, then one late when WC are about 8-10 goals the better of North
He will make a few chase down tackles
He will not be strong in the contest a few times
Will go missing for periods when the game is on
Get about 13 possessions
And play in a GF next week.... In which Freo will win IMO
So pretty much in line with his season

Cripps is not hopeless, he is soft (for a League footballer, none of the are soft in comparison to everyday folk)
He has had a year a small fwd should in a team that has won 10 or more games by 10 goals and finished with the best percentage in the AFL. I reckon put Lonie or Sinclair in that side it'd be no different
Only difference, Cripps improved to his peak at that point, they would be starting there and getting better... There's a reason he's never transitioned into the midfield.

As you can see, I still have about as much respect for him as our Skipper does.... He was a wasted DP
Jack Darling went 3 after him... Luke Parker (a local) went 16 spots later

It is good to hear from some VG posters of days gone by ....

I remember earlier days of Statsman, HD, Savatage, Mighty S, solar, Bungiton and of course B4E ...And many others

To enjoy a poster, doesn't mean you have to agree with them... But healthy debate grows knowledge and understanding

Funny
Negativity is my apparent drawback.... And I can obviously see that...
But my three areas of negativity are now absolutely accepted
1 recruitment and development during RL era
2 no evolution of GP from 09-011 when others did
3 performance 2012-2014
There is no denying that those were not successful areas... Being critical at the time was not what people wanted to hear... Did that make it incorrect?
I agree, the language was that of a frustrated supporter at times... Which added to the animosity around my posts

I must say... Those who say I never posted positively are incorrect... And often would like to think that to push their agendas

FWIW
Right now we are on the best path since my time following StK
Since AR appointment the club has got very little wrong... Nothing major wrong
And we will win a premiership by 2020

Forgot to mention CP
He is gone, for a reason.

Would have to agree with you there BM on the path we are on at the moment. The appointments of AR & MF are the two best appointments this club has made since the appointment of AJ all those years ago.

If we keep to the strategic plan, we can't go wrong. ...well, as long as we get our drafting right, of course!!

Whatever you may think of CP, he was instrumental in getting ourSC/TPP in order and helping to implement the strategic path that we are now on.

Stay around BM. I for one always enjoyed reading you posts, and I'm sure more agree with me than disagree.

One thing i remember about BM was how everybody loved his early prediction that Sam Gilbert would be a gun for us after his first pre-season... And the caning he copped for saying Sweeney wouldn't make it after about the same period of time.

How dare you write a player off after only a pre-season they said.

I always enjoyed the irony

What about me. by the way BM made it clear that P66 leaving had nothing to do with him coming back. He made it clear that it was others who were the problem. Amazing how keen some are to make a point.

Even more interesting...

Announcing ones depature, in such grandiose fashion... Lap up the attention ... Only to return a day later?

Possibly desperate? Seemingly pathetic??
I thought you might have more class and scruples than that other joker who did the same???
At least when I walked... I kept going. Only to return briefly to pay homage...
I also tried BF... Wonder if you'll last as long as me??

P66
I thought you'd have more pride than that?!

Thanks BFUSA
But I'm only going to post for a brief time, on this thread.
I'm back from an OS holiday tomorrow and straight into cricket.

Has rekindled some memories though, some were fun... Others memories Were of justifying the fact that I was allowed an opinion... A foreign concept to way too many on SS.

Again
Saints are now on the right path
AR, Elshaug and Finnis will have us in the top 4 inside 4 years

P66 was pushed and his account deleted. The only way he could come back is under a new nic which is apparently allowed.

Well in my defence I didn't know I was allowed back so I think you are being totally unfair. When I said goodbye I thought that would be it. You can have your go but just remember what you said when you left. Pretty much the same as me except I was polite.

Pride? Om a fan forum. I just want to chat footy. BF isn't my style. Not going to bag it like some on there bag this site. I will continue to post there as well but its a bit more serious and there are some there who have decided what I'm like even before posting.

By the way there was no attention being seeked as I thought I wouldn't be able to see the site because last time I was banned you couldn't even look at the site. You can keep having your dig as I have no hope of coming back. I'm sure people will try and hopefully I just don't bite but I will protect myself without abusing others. By the way I think once your banned you shouldn't be able to come back but you should be able to look.

Yea ... i saw that.
Piss poor form imo , from the 10 foot tall few over there.
Quite disappointing actually.

Unconscious human behaviour is everywhere ... sad.
