9 what?
Losses this year and we win our rightful and traditional woodwork again.
And the No1 draft pick.
Now don't go and lose it by exceeding the salary cap.

Are we talking 7+ years?
That is an eon in AFL terms.... 97-2004... We were Runners up, last, second last, third... Over such a period.
I think any view longer than 4 years from being competitive is a concern
Long term views should always be considered

Perhaps the playing group are sick of being told what they are doing wrong rather creating belief and energy through positivity relaesing the pressure valve!
Perhaps the playing group believe they are also playing for early draft selections?

Maybe the AFL will introduce a relegation system and save us trying to find the AFL team.

+1...and i thought the hawthorn game was as bad as it could get..........wrong wrong wrong.....BadRossco wrote:Probably a minor positive but today we saw a mediocre stand alone VFL team all we need now is a AFL team.

Longer-thought he attacked the ball well and took some good marks around the ground...hes a fighter.
Murdoch- solid for game number 10 or so
Armitage- showed why we need him...attacks the ball like a warrior. We cant trade him as we are thin on midfielders like him
No, not Stanley! He has had his go. Definitely not. He won't make it.BringBackMadDog wrote:Longer: 3 disposal, 2 marks. Not nearly enough for mine.
From what I saw at sandy yesterday I would bring both pierce and Stanley in for Lee and longer
St Ick wrote:Weller and Ross massive positives. Surely TC comes in for CJ... the bloke doesnt do enough to keep Curren out of the team.
Other than those two, and maybe Webster and Bruce, its hard to see many positives.

Alas, we need at least three more years of this. But, that's the only way to hopefully get back. Plus sacking our idiot list manager. I really don't know what has to happen to prove his "instincts" are hopeless. He has dined out on his "luck" at Hawthorn for far too long.
I thought he was going OK. Who has he brought into the club?perfectionist wrote:Plus sacking our idiot list manager. I really don't know what has to happen to prove his "instincts" are hopeless. He has dined out on his "luck" at Hawthorn for far too long.
That's a bit unfair -using reason to stop people finding a new scape goat.bergholt wrote:I thought he was going OK. 2011:
Newnes, Ross, Webster, Shenton - showing something
Milera - still has a chance
Saad - unfortunate but might just get back on the list
Maister - briefly useful
Dunell - showed something but probably not going to make it
Markworth, Minchington - no idea
Lever, Staley - gone
2012:
Hickey - going well until injured
Saunders, Wright, Murdoch - showing something
Lee - jury still a long way out
Roberton - not sure what's going on with him but has shown something
Pierce - people seem to like him
White - maybe
Dennis-Lane - failing
2013:
Delaney - doing well at FB
Billings, Dunstan, Acres - lots of potential there
Bruce - looks like a player
Templeton, Weller - definite possibilities
Longer - showing something though a long way to go
Savage - failing
More hits than misses there, surely? I suppose he's also let some go. Goddard, Dal, McEvoy, Dawson. Walsh. Probably some others I've forgotten.
Has he really been that bad so far?
