What a great first half of footy by the boys. Their pressure on the ball carrier has been immense. Joey finding great space. Dunstan in and under. Ray standing tall. Rooey. I'm not sure if they can keep it up for another hour, but boy this first half is enough for me at the moment.

Can't ask for more than that. Really proad of them. Great if they can do it for 4 qtrs.
If they give this sort of effort weekly. The year will be enjoyable regardless of results,

Re: St kilda v west coast match day thread
This is a very gutsy effort.
No nonsense, hard at the ball. Defensive zone is slowing WCE ball movement, always kicking to a contest.
Ray having a great grame, Joey and Lenny very good, Dunstan class, Eli a real spark, despite what that weasel Tony Shaw say, Geary COURAGEOUS, Delaney battling hard, Hickey outpointed by making a contest, Beau and Stanley holding marks,
Rooey.
But it is the attack on the man I love.
Richo stamped all over this effort.

Super proud of that half, hope we can keep it up.
Priddis seemingly doesn't need to get rid of the ball like everyone else?
Tony Shaw makes my brain hurt... Just a complete nuffy, I know he is a premiership captain, but I reckon he knows less than most on here.

Very good effort so far. Happy with all. Thought gilbert would mean thrashing. Just shows to u that a champion team will always beat a team of champions!!! Tackle tackle tackle run run run. Stanley has been very good in my opinion.

C'mon sainters, great effort so far.
Great supporting from the Western Sainters, sounds like they're going off!
Hope we can sustain the pressure.

Yup - all you can ask for Brother. Efforts and a team building like this and before long we will be demanding they win games like this.8856brother wrote:Can't ask for more than that. Really proad of them. Great if they can do it for 4 qtrs.

Effort is all we want.
Team will look even better with Fisher and Jack back.
Oh have loved the work of Armo and Saunders inside. Keeping the WCE mids quiet
Lance or James??

Tries to break a tackle and fails then just drops the ball and it's play on. Luckily Darling got a free and turned it over and we got the goal.dragit wrote: Priddis seemingly doesn't need to get rid of the ball like everyone else?

Re: St kilda v west coast match day thread
We hit the new game plan from the first bounce ( a few boo boo kicks for goal notwithstanding). But as I have said in the first two wins, it is a high intensity and high collision game. Our ability to stick with it, with young but exuberant bodies, will determine the outcome. So far, so good.
