Con,

Is that 'speak English' or 'Talk in English'??

Anyways

About 2003 & 2004? Point?? I didn't check Wikipedia? But he left 4 years before they went south? No connect
We lost Ball, BJ, Dal, Lynch, McEvoy, Maguire, Cripps, Guerra, Gram, Allen, Watts, Lovett, Dawson, Hamill, X.... Perhaps that that ha put us behind h 8 ball?

Not sure I said Dunstan is exactly like Priddis, did I?

This lad has massive upside. People don't seem to rate his future potential other than he'll be a good B grader.

Watched his work closely at Alberton

1/ Inside clearance player with speed reaction for the dish=off
2/ has good awareness
3/ stands up in tackles
4/ runs to space
5/ tackles hard
6/ seems completely unphased by opposition

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Rate him and have him as my "sponsored player" this year.

AwayInUSA no longer ... have based myself back in Melbourne for a decade of Saintsational Success (with regular trips back to the USA)

Mate - you cant out smart me and you cant correct my grammar - trust me you wont win. You still don't get it.

So it wasn't just the year you got wrong it was the city as well.

Second - you don't seem to have basic comprehension of what I was arguing.
I didn't say "Melbourne went south once Thompson left' I was adding him to my already existing argument that they lost several decent players who were all pretty young - my point being this is different to the common wisdom (myth) that they lost experienced players. Often Saints fans argue for us to keep all our +30yos on the list and cite Melbourne as a model. But my counter-argument is that is crap because it was Melbourne losing a whole bunch of talent who were still young that really killed them. But I wasn't wholly clear in explaining that.

Con, I would respectfully suggest that BigMart comes from the same gene pool as p66.

Maybe it's the same amoeba, with 2 different logons.

About 2003... Mmm I'd he left 'about' then?

He left 'for' Adelaide .... From Melbourne

They were compensated... He was no different to Gehrig leaving the Eagles?

There decline had
Little to do with ST more to do with poor Drafting

I would say it had a bit to do with a whole lot of little things going wrong and then compounding. Guys like Cam Bruce left and and guys like Scully left. Liam Jurrah looked set to be a superstar and it all fell apart, Stynes died and the energy and enthusiasm wained. No doubt the players young and old leaving left holes but then poor recruiting or leaving the youth without older guidance did the rest.

What job do you do? Good post. Totally on topic and not designed to bait.

My only comment on Luke will be for every Kick / Handball / Tackle and future leadership for a long time I will keep saying quietly thank you "Hawthorn".

A bit like Ben Cousins working as a drug counsellor - a bit rich.
