Win Win.....
North have already used pick 8 for Mcdonald (Father/Son) just not and option.

Pelchen is an expert at working around the AFL contractual rules but I would be surprised if the AFL allowed this however?

Re: Chris Pelchen !!
From the AFL Father/Son rules...
A Club can nominate an eligible Father-Son
draftee, with the player’s written consent,
for the upcoming NAB AFL Draft.
At a meeting held prior to the Trade Period each
other Club in the competition then has the option
to bid, in reverse ladder order, for that player.
If a bid is made, the Club that nominated
the Father-Son player must use its next
available selection if it wishes to retain a hold
on that player.

That would be unbelievable… I can't see it happening though.
that would be awesome - we give them 17 and dal - they give us 8.
they get dal + mcdonald + pick 35.
we end up with 3, 8, 21, savage, 37

Re: Chris Pelchen !!
Actually what about dal + 17 for 8 and delaney?
that we get 3 top picks
3, 8, 21, 37 + delaney + savage
is that possible/legal?

Re: Chris Pelchen !!
Pretty sure that 'next available' would have to mean said club's 'next available' pick... at the time that meeting was held.FortiusQuoFidelius wrote:From the AFL Father/Son rules...

Otherwise that would really be open to abuse.
That said..., could Mr Fineprint have found a loosely worded AFL policy with a potential premiership winning window... left temporarily ajar...?

Didn't Jeansy ask Pelchen on his deathbed to "look after my Saints"?
Or did Pelchen tell Jeansy he was going to offload Macca and Dal - and the machine went PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING

Con you really are weird. 4 threads you have mentioned this on now. Why would anyone care what a poster said about someone on here. There is one reason you have mentioned it and its to discredit me. Im pretty sure I can discredit myself. Thanks for help. Its amuzing and it all comes from your lack of ability to explain the reason why older players played this year but wont next. Alleged fraud is mentioning you and the law in the one sentance.

Re: Chris Pelchen !!
Rubbish there is a closing date for father/son settlements which has long passed, and it purposefully precedes the trading period so this can't happen otherwise it would be an unworkable farceFortiusQuoFidelius wrote:North have committed their first round pick, not specifically 8.
