Re: Jared Polec
I've only seen him play once or twice. But he looked incredibly impressive to me -- silky skills, beautiful mover, poised, with real presence on the field.
He just hasn't been able put it all together on the field -- which is common or youngsters until they get the hang of it in their 2nd or 3rd or 4th year.
I'd love to see what he can become at St Kilda.

Look at all avenues, all players....
It would be negligent to dismiss anything or anyone without thorough analysis
Barlow, Stevens, Silvagni, Podsiadly, Monfries, CJ, Powell, Voss, Ball, Dew, Hudson, Edwards, Goddard
Acquired through State League, Rookies, Trades, Delisting, Pre Season Draft, Free Agency.....
Building a list requires smart trading.... With an open mind, but with a set of criteria

We need to be careful who we draft with our pick 3.
Would hate to see us draft a player thats from another state and invest so much in him then in 2 years time he is home sick and wants to go home to be with his mummy. Just need to be careful IMO.

Good Point . If Pelchin / Watterman rate him highly then show some St.K. interest by all means.
Melbourne is a bit closer to Adelaide and besides the Saints may be in a better position to do a successful deal with the lions.
Watterman can be convincing .
Worth a go.
G O S A I N T S !
The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

Re: Jared Polec or B.Longer or Docherty ?
Just heard on Ch 10 (5.45) that St.Kilda offered a lucrative deal to Nathan Brown but he declined. Must reeeally love collingwood!
Certainly experienced but hadn't heard anything previous to this announcement.
Wondering on opinions of the above 3 lions.

that thought was when Lyon was picking players like polo, attard, etc

Polec can play. But there is one issues with him - he is unbelievably soft, both physically and mentally.
