Why would they upgrade Shenton and not play him. Surely he has to come in, surely?

Watching the Hawks v Pies I think there is more Hawks in our set up than Pies. Pelchen might just be the architect after all. The small forwards and athletic talls a mass of similar mids with good kicking skills. Shame we didn't get Brodie grundy too. his tap work is outstanding.

I'm flummoxed. Elevate a rookie in round 21 and then not play him??? My guess is that Gilbert will be withdrawn and Shenton goes in.

Its shouldnt matter that gwilt is out. We cant win so why risk a guy who hasnt played for 12 weeks. I suppose if it was just a Saturday ganme and he was named emergency then no one would be even commenting. I reckon Dunell could be in a bit of trouble next season.

St Kilda:
In: Sam Gilbert, Stephen Milne, Tom Hickey, Seb Ross
Out: James Gwilt, Jimmy Webster, Brodie Murdoch, Lenny Hayes

Self promation or it to prove im wrong? Weird.

Think I'll officially fall off the SW bandwagon if Dunnel is cut at seasons end like you've speculated plugs

that would be it for me

I said Lockett couldnt play and Greg Packham would win 2 brownlows so I am quite a good judge.

As for Sam I suppose if SW thinks he cant play more than a minor role ever at the club then there is no point keeping him on. Lets face it 50% of the young players we have now will be gone in 3 years. You just have to hope SW keeps the right ones. I think we can safely say Ledger is gone. i will actually be pissed off if we keep him because if he cant get a game this year then there is no point having him around next year.

Surely Gilbert is no chance, why do they play ridiculous games like this...

That last minute shifty of Schneider in for Milne must have thrown the hawks into chaos last week

Murdoch is a little unlucky? Took 7 marks including a couple of beauties.
I thought Murdoch's game was one of the highlights last week.

Looks like the second half of this season is just an audition for next year with no real objective other than to see how the various young guys compose themselves at senior level

It was murdochs first game since round 16 though... Surely you deserve another one unless you've had a shocker?

If Milne has a calf then he could easily still need another week...

Gilbert would be very unlikely IMO.

I tend to agree.

I'm a faily big Ledger fan but if he hasn't been able to crack into the seniors this season (rightly or wrongly) i cant see what the point of keeping him is.

I would have liked to seeDunnel play more as a forward flanker this season. Think he's a better forward then back. Either way his lack of opportunity has been fairly disappointing too. Whilst he's not been a world beater, i'd have like to to seen him get four or 5 games in a row and measure the improvement

Once you hit 30 calves take ages too, Milney could be out IMO. Gilbo I'm not sure what they would bother naming him for if he didn't play.

Milne's calf strain.
Hyperbaric chambers can speed up recovery. There's one in South Yarra, they also have some leftover drug from Mexico.

I reckon it would take ages too to hit 30 calves.

But seriously, why would you play Gilbert when the couch says he wants to look at players. Surely Shenton should be playing tomorrow as well as Murdoch.

It sounds like your couch is ogling our players again. It can look as long is it doesn't touch.

All my sporting teams have won in the last 24 hours, so the Saints need to ante up this arve.

SF Giants beat Florida Marlins 14-10

Niners beat KC 15-13 in a pre-season game

Aston Villa beat Arsenal 3-1

Go Sts!

Three out of four ain't bad. The Saints are $16 and the line is 10 goals.
