Re: Jack Watts
Not impressed. He dropped at least one sitter and the way he flopped trying for a free kick was disgraceful. Besides Melbourne will want a fair bit for him
No thanks

Re: Jack Watts
Feck Melbourne. They are an AFL comedy routine. Players are all effected by the nonsense.
That big giraffe Fitzpatrick is a joke. 42 who hit McEvoy is a goose and Rodent should be playing for the Melbourne Rebels not Melbourne Demonds with that body shape.

Re: Jack Watts
From what I saw last night, Jack Watts has plenty of talent but is somewhat unfit. He, like our Nick, suffers from the woeful disposal of his teammates.

Re: Jack Watts
Watts has plenty of upside but has suffered from a few years of crap coaching in a crap club. I think he would be pretty useful forward under decent coaching with some good role models around him. Definitely worth a look.
Re: Jack Watts
Try sitting in the MCC with them all sucked in by that sort of rubbish. He is as soft as butter, makes poor decisions, winges too much and plays like he doesn't want to get his hair messed up.mullet wrote:Well put. Couldnt believe how the commentators pumped them up. I used to think Jack Watts was unfairly maligned until I watched him today. When he threw himself forward in the contest today a laughed so hard, and he just couldnt kick goals when given the opportunity. I also commented today that I wondered what Melbourne was going to do next week to get themselves up. Sack another coach.Cairnsman wrote:Possibly will go down as the worst number one in the history of the draft system. Should be made to pay money back. That sounds strong but I only have contempt for the Melbourne players at the moment because I think they are getting off so lightly at the moment. Neeld being sacked just gives the players a little more cover to hide and an excuse.
He might come good in a decent environment, but anything less than a player like Farren or a pick worse than 40 I wont be impressed.
And to think they were clapping him when he was coming to the bench. Please...god...never let it get to that with us...

Re: Jack Watts
For our first pick this year (whether it be number 3 o or 5) in the national draft we need a six foot four or five midfield specialist who can run like the clappers. End of.

Re: Jack Watts
Only players from Melbourne after (in order)
Nathan Jones and Frawley.
Possibles are: Garland, Bease and maybe Clisby if his form start was his standard.
Others are not worth the effort.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Re: Jack Watts
I doubt Peter Jackson will be advocating Melbourne trades away it's only good players...
There are a lot of AFL people waiting for Watts to deliver, maybe Melbournes next coach can get him playing quality ball..

Re: Jack Watts
Watts should secure a multi-million deal with Hollywood.
Speaking of which - can you still get reported for acting?
Or is that just another of those temporary rules like sliding and hands on the back?

Our first round pick.
He played well on the weekend again with bugger all supply from a garbage midfield.

You don't base a trade or draft selection on 1 game.... Or 2, 3 or 4 for that matter...
