Yep IF Goddard wanted to go - exchange for Marc Murphy, or 2 top 10 DPHSVKing wrote:Exactly.Con Gorozidis wrote:complete garbology. Carlton fans dreaming of this for a decade.
Direct swap for Marc Murphy. thats all I'd take for Goddard. anything else - forget it.
They seem to think he'll go there for nothing in return. For our top player, pretty much need to give your top player, or combination of, in return.
Otherwise p!ss off.

We may not have any choice because of our list manager.MCG-Unit wrote:Yep IF Goddard wanted to go - exchange for Marc Murphy, or 2 top 10 DPHSVKing wrote:Exactly.Con Gorozidis wrote:complete garbology. Carlton fans dreaming of this for a decade.

What do you mean by that? That Pelchen/Bains will consider trading Goddard?plugger66 wrote:We may not have any choice because of our list manager.MCG-Unit wrote:Yep IF Goddard wanted to go - exchange for Marc Murphy, or 2 top 10 DPHSVKing wrote:Exactly.Con Gorozidis wrote:complete garbology. At the bigtime Hawker, Pelchen had some great wins (rip-offs) and some notable losses as well.

No I mean our previous incompetent manager who has got us into salary cap troubles. If we are over by 500K as suggested then getting rid of minor players may not solve the problem. If we have to get rid of a highly paid player because of this im going to do a Barks and suggest the whole board is sacked.MCG-Unit wrote:What do you mean by that? Maybe Ross loved playing the kids but the list managers told him not to give games to them to keep their contracts low? Only joking. Seriously how did we get that far over? Someone f%$#ed it up big time. If we are shunting gardi and bakes why are we not better off than this year? I am hoping still that Pilchard is playing mind games with the list so he can sign them to a pittance and recruit Norman Gunston.plugger66 wrote:No I mean our previous incompetent manager who has got us into salary cap troubles. The Saints have told Carlton they'd be wasting their time seeking a trade for star utility Brendon Goddard. Blues chief executive Greg Swann said this afternoon that St Kilda are refusing to entertain a deal for Goddard, particularly given Carlton's first pick is No.22. Swann said the Blues haven't spoken to Goddard and were unlikely to be a key player in the year's trade period.

Drain I gather (plus Lyon). Well I had not heard that figure, but find it very hard to believe they could be that much over.plugger66 wrote:No I mean our previous incompetent manager who has got us into salary cap troubles. So if that relates to 2011 payments, the 4 retirements/delistings and the bottom feeder off the books won't help then will it? Nor will backending new contracts, and placing whoever they can on the Vet's list.....which I posted on another thread.
I thought they were over in the estimates for 2012 ?

I heard Santa Ohailpin wants a trade along with Bowyer so maybe they will be by accident.

i forgot he was still playing. He doesn't get a run at the blues when they lack backline players? What happened to him. I would rather try to pinch a mid from them, Cane lucas or even that little smart arse bloke carazzo. they have some guy called casboult that all the Blues fans reckon is the new Fev. Maybe we should pinch him?SaintSimmo wrote:Saints should go after Bower IMOgringo wrote:I heard Santa Ohailpin wants a trade along with Bowyer so maybe they will be by accident.SaintSimmo wrote:The Saints have told Carlton they'd be wasting their time seeking a trade for star utility Brendon Goddard. Restricted to 12 games by a persistent quad injury last year and when he returned later in the season struggled for fitness. Tall running defender who is important because of his ability to match bigger opponents as he has shown the ability to run off them and break the lines. Needs to improve his marking.
