They'd be mad not to contest it.

In the article on the HS website they say he will still be ineligible for the Brownlow as the original charge was over 100 points.

Late news.......

The charge has been amended.....

Clinton Jones has been reported for negligently putting his face in the path of a Collingwood fist.

They'll argue it wasn't intentional I reckon, try to get it downgraded to negligent. It's bollocks of course, looking at the vision he could see the ball had spilled free and he knew exactly where Jones was.

If negligent will make him eligible if reckless still ineligible..

Anyone else confirm..?

Tough ask to downgrade from intentional to neg. How the hell was it low impact?

It's irrelevant when the whole process is corrupt.

Anderscum should be shot if it's downgraded.

I couldn't give a stuff whether he gets a reduction or not, it has no bearing on the Saints.

Either way he's out of contention for the Brownlow and no longer has a clean record.

i no longer follow afl - i only follow st kilda!

i cannot abide the bias and inequity. the rigged draws, the money before fairness agenda, the pure hypocrisy, the constant rule changes, the bulls*** politicalisation of the sport.

i boycott any game not involving the saints. i boycott all footy shows.
i don't buy any merchandise that isn't saints merchandise.
i would suggest all footy fans that want change do the same - hit their revenue stream - it's all they care about.

personally i'd prefer the afl dies and the victorian clubs go back to the vfl instead of what we have now.

I think he meant ghirls...ghirl gherms.

Anyways, I'd be reluctant to call the 9ft tall African guys local to me ghirls, and they sure don't seem to show a lot of interest in footy.

Do you often share your computer access with this 70 year old guy? I could swear you and Stinger are posting from different locations.

He's still in contention for the brownlow if they throw out the charge completely.

Participation at Auskick and junior footy is growing in our area...Not sure what you're basing your theory on.

He is arguing the conduct element of the charge. He will cop the plea for reckless instead of intentional. That allows him to play this week.

I read recently that junior participation in aussie rules footy is dropping compared to other sports, and has been for a while.

I can't remember where I read it, but I'm trying to find it.
