A "re-adjustment" to my selections :

Out - Stanley - definitely with bad weather predicted.
Out - Winmar - limited match time. Too light for heavy ground, first-up.

In - Clarke.
In - Blake
Sub - Blake

Move Gwilt to forward line on a heavy ground. Clarke to HB.

Apologies to Johnson & Archer - too much height with Kosi in on a wet ground.
I'm confused, twice in this thread you have suggested Winmar needs to be one of the 'outs' but unless I have missed something he hasn't been in the team to be outed??
Was going to say the same thing but then re-read JO's post. He talks about changes to his original changes (i.e. he had Winmar in, now he's taking him out)

Well I think that's what he's saying :)

dunno J
i think gwilt could do better than some of the others who have been tried up there
good hands, and a decent big kick
its just he plays that role down back so well (imo) that we couldnt afford to move him.

clarke forward?? toughie
maybe try gilbert there again, stuff him and where he WANTS to play
done f*** all down back in four games, and he seemed to do alright up forward
except slot the goals i spose

agreed
milne schneids and steven need to have decent games this week if the ball is hitting the deck and slippery

if we dont win this we are in trouble
the next few games arent pushovers

You're right Saint_Ash. That's what happens when I try to watch two sreens at once - stupidity.

On a heavy ground, I have to agree with Dr Spaceman, that based on last week, Minni gets another gig.

That leaves me with Clarke in for Stanley (Gwilt forward).
Jones did a good covering job last week and stays in, in heavy weather.
I like Smith, but with less experience, move to Sub, with Mini in.

Adelaide on a wet night, with a slippery surface...

Out Stanley, Smith (unlucky)

In Peake (stays on his feet and can be that player off the pack when the ball skids through) Blake

I checked the forecast and it's saying "a few showers".

Let's not pick a side based on the game being transferred to the City of Atlantis just yet.

thequarry wrote:It's going to be raining in Adelaide according to the current forecast - I dare say Stanley will be out and Mini kept in the team. Johnson will probably miss as well due to the conditions - unless Kosi is taken out of the team (very, very slim chance of that happening), and maybe this opens the door for Winmar? Perhaps Cripps too, but I doubt his form so far warrants a call-up just yet (would be nice to see though).

That said, Winmar won't have played for three weeks come the weekend, and Cripps won't have played for two - not sure if that's ideal for a player to come straight into an AFL team for their first game.
Wet weather tens to favour experience...and small/mediums with solid bodies..

Mini would be pleased.

St Kilda, meanwhile, is set to hand Will Johnson his debut and top draft pick Jamie Cripps is also in the mix for Saturday night's clash against the Crows at AAMI Stadium.

Saints coach Ross Lyon said Johnson, the Saints' final pick in the 2009 draft, had been knocking on the door for several weeks.

"I think Will is more likely than unlikely to come in and that’s exciting," Lyon told the Saints website.

"Will’s a powerful athlete and he has worked really hard and earned an opportunity and we’re keen to reward that.

“Young Cripps has had some injury concerns, but his maturity and professionalism is outstanding.

“He’s given himself every chance to play and his speed and run might be really important at AAMI Stadium on Saturday."

Lyon conceded the Saints may have gone in too tall against Brisbane last weekend, which places young tall Rhys Stanley in the gun after he failed to have an impact in Brisbane.

'More likely than unlikely' isn't so convincing :)

The In will come from Winmar, Blake and Clarke. My guess; Clarke.

Ross rarely, if ever makes more than 1 change after a win, unless it's forced !!
I think this makes me 66% WRONG   !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
