Would not want membership cards posted in that plastic bag.............
As I mentioned NO SECURITY......can just slide white clip and bag is open.
rang today
got the auto message thingy
if you were renewed before dec 13th, should have it
if you renewed after dec 13th it should be in your mailbox by end of feb
i renewed on dec 15th, got one already but not the other
so ill wait to see the membership cards when they come
if there's only one i know they've stuffed up and ill be back on the phone
For the record I renew online each year for mine & my young nephew & have had no problems except for last year when my nephew's pack never arrived. After 2 phone calls chasing I gave up & made my own pack up for him.
Made comment of this in the member survey but have had no follow up.
Strewth, we got our membership packs 3 weeks ago over here in Perth so I can't complain. That key ring-thing is great for keeping the cat in line. One gentle dong on the head and he knows who's boss! Of course it could always be worse, imagine if you were a member of the filth. Every year would get that same uninspiring black and white crap!

Yeah, but it's probably pretty good crap this year
Will have to check if duplicate payments deducted..................
My wife got a duplicate pack too but then she changed seats so I assume it had something to do with that. Did you make a change to the membership that might have triggered the duplicate being sent out?
We had the same problem last year Suss made a change to our membership and ended up with 2 packs.
It would of been good to have our scarves and hats for this Friday night. I heard the cards were delayed due to problems with the MCG allocation of reserved seats for there home games
never had any problems. always found dealing with the membership department over the phone or online to work out really well. very confident that they try their hardest to solve any issues.
when social club memberships closed, i put my partner on the waiting list straight away over the phone. got an unexpected call only a few months later to say a spot opened up. so i am extremely pleased with my experiences.
Not impressed at all with the service I would prefer to simply receive my membership card at a regular time each year, instead of all this cheap crud. It was galling to see Collingwood and Carlton people going to their NAB cup game wearing "member 2011" caps and scarves. While we wait (as ever!) for our cards. I mean, its not as if they don't have time to plan this exercise! They do it every year!

without knowing the why's or wherefores
some of the reasons for the differance between Pies and Saints may come down to financial logistics- simple budgeting-
they have a $5mill to play with and can thus afford to pre order without confirmation- and even if only half got theirs would be enough..
the Saints have been Financial viable But not flashing around- it may be when they are budgeted for that causes the delay-
- given that I guess they can always use possible suggestions..
or have our expectations changed ..was a time when just getting your card for the 1st round Mid March was ok.
.... and the timing may need reviewing.

I'm with The Jiggster on
This. It's piss poor management.
The scarves and caps are free advertising for our club.
We need them out now to spread the brand to remind others to buy
Up memberships.
Time is money in this case IMO.
I've worn my old Saints cap a fair bit this Summer, and it creates a lot of discussion amongst passer byers. This can only be a good thing in the off season when (in theory!) there isn't much footy news going around. (this off season excluded!)
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.
I don't mind that we have to wait to recieve the card (as long as it's here in time for round 1)
What really gets me mad is that they PROMISED them before Christmas. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! We haven't recieved them before Christmas for a while so why promise it this season??????
Especially when people like me handed over above $1000 to the club for memberships for Christmas Presents only to give the "sorry your present hasn't turned up yet excuse".
"It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress."
Hiya Saintbrat. I have to admire your loyalty to the club. You always defend them and good on you for that, however, I must "agree to disagree" with you on this one, and it has nothing to do with Collingwood having more money. Its a matter of simple professionalism and efficiency. Sadly, its a commodity that seems in short supply at this time of year!
I renewed in late November 2010, but next year will probably leave it as late as possible to renew.
