Bl**dy oath! McQualter and Peake are the core of the jokes from opposition supporters after our GF2 debacle and rightly so. They are hacks!saintbob wrote:Geary won't be going anywhere, why trade someone with great potential when we've got hacks like Peake and Mcqualter running around.
Geary's carry and use of the ball would be far more benefical to the team than those two put together!!!!

These two in particular and its not only me, it's just about every opposition supporter who watches both Grand Finals that we know. Mate, if you think these two will win us a GF one day then go ahead and continue to say they are good players.#1GILL wrote:You certainly seem to enjoy bagging our players!saintkid wrote:Bl**dy oath! Your comment to me is pretty hypocritical as I have read posts of yours also bagging some of our bottom end players.

In all honesty that guys second efforts are better than both Peake's and McQualter's first efforts and it showed in a high pressure final. Like I said the other day, at least scumbag Malthouse had the balls to drop Davis and he is a better kick for goal than both of them!IluvHarvey wrote:Would you think that Jarryd Blair would win a premiership?saintkid wrote:These two in particular and its not only me, it's just about every opposition supporter who watches both Grand Finals that we know. I think you should go back a watch some games and actually watch what Mini does. If you are waiting for him to stand out, he won't and he never will but to question his effort is ridiculous.saintkid wrote:In all honesty that guys second efforts are better than both Peake's and McQualter's first efforts and it showed in a high pressure final. OK whatever you say. We are entitled to an opinion and I beg to differ however, some of us need to remove ourselves fron what we want to believe and see it from the eyes of a non saints supporter. I think you will find that outside the saints cocoon, you are in a clear minority with him.IluvHarvey wrote:I think you should go back a watch some games and actually watch what Mini does. Mini had 8 telling tackles in GF1, was very good. Crap in GF2, but so was Roo...lets get rid of everyone from the Captain down!saintkid wrote:OK whatever you say. A question then If McQualter is as bad as you are making him out to be why is he in the team?
The fact is we don't know what is asked of him for each game but he must be doing something to continually be selected.
Ross is no fool and has got us to 2 GF's in a row so I will back his judgement.

Sorry but I have run out of patience with him. Tackles are not enough. You need to WIN your own ball. We have a few too many who are defensive players only that's why guys like poor Lenny need to play blinders for us to match it with the best sides.IluvHarvey wrote:A question then If McQualter is as bad as you are making him out to be why is he in the team?

A couple of goals every now and then would be real handy...trade some of them for some tacklesIluvHarvey wrote:A question then If McQualter is as bad as you are making him out to be why is he in the team?

Seriously, for a team that made the GF, you seriously have to ask some questions about the comments on our players in the media and by people on this board. You all need to wake up a bit. We were carrying quite a few injuries but unlike the Bulldogs and other teams, we don't use it as excuses.saintly wrote:well according to SEN to night. The saints will not be trading anyone. or maybe noone is interested in our players?
a sad and sorry state, if noone wants to even ask about players.
The reason no one is enquiring about our players is because all bar a few are signed up. Really, some on here need to get some serious perspective. A GF loss DOES NOT mean that all our players are shot and not fit to play footy at the highest level!

I'm not surprised that we are not trading this year. We have a bunch of delistings anyway. We have rookie list room and will use all draft pick bar maybe the last one.
We still have positives on our list. f*** sake, you don't make two GF's in a row without a decent list. Delistings will be interesting, as will next years game plan.
A couple of our rooks will be better after another preseason.

No one is saying ONE grand final loss is the end of the world, but when you loose two in a row, big decisions need to be made. The team is not getting any younger and in fact some are heading towards the twighlight of their careers. And if you think our untried kids can keep up with the other 14 clubs kids who have already played 20-50 games, then you are kidding yourself. I remember last year when everyone was saying, we don't need to trade, we have many kids including Heyne, Lynch, Armo, Steven who are going to stand up and make the 22.bigred wrote: The reason no one is enquiring about our players is because all bar a few are signed up. Lets face it, we only have 3 years max, if that, to have a real shot at the flag. After that we are in real trouble (Whether we trade picks now or not). I don't see the problem in going flat out and trading a few picks for a few mature players while our core are at their best.
