So not picking Gardi as a decoy selection cost us the GF???

FFS.....the Pies had 22 players playing well taday. We had half of that.

Having Gardi as a :fake" selection would have maded SQUAT difference.
Have your eyes rolling around in your head affected your brain? Or have you been drinking? Or are you only capable of reading a couple of paragraphs?
That was only a minor point in the suggestion. The bulk of it revolved around changing our set-up to have a smaller forward line, as Roo and Kosi didn't look like taking enough marks against Reid and Brown last week and to try and remove Maxwell from being loose, to just pick off our kicks all day long.
It was also about getting Roo into the play and having a small forward line to make it easy for him to run back in there with the flight, without tall timber to contend with. It was also designed to leave them with no roles for Reid and Brown, and thus affect their rotations and to help crowd their forward line. And having another "runner" instead of McEvoy, was suggested to give us more run. And also to have Roo further up the ground to be there for the quick get-out kick from the Collingwood forward line, as we realised last week that handballing it out of defence against them doesn't work.
All of which would have helped enormously today, as Roo and Kosi had their asses kicked deep forward, we kicked it to Maxwell, or whoever was loose, so often it wasn't funny and they had much more run than us.
Instead, we had the most predictable set-up imaginable, and one that suited Collingwood perfectly and we played right into their hands.
They must have been laughing their heads off in the Collingwood coaching box. They ought to send Ross and co a thank-you gift.

YOU GET WHAT YOU SETTLE FOR.
