A little bit of interesting Gaelic football/hurling history....

Marty Clarke's team Down, lost to Cork in the Gaelic Football final in Ireland on Sunday by one point. Cork lost last years final.

In 1966, the Cork Hurling team won their first Munster title in a decade and advanced to an All-Ireland final decider against Kilkenny. While Kilkenny were the favourites Gerald McCarthy captained one of the youngest Cork teams ever to victory.

Also, if Saints win the flag, Essendon will be the only team to have ever beaten both the premiers and lost to the wooden spooners twice in the same year.

Now this all means absolutely nothing so thanks for humoring me.....
