His body seems a lot stronger this year. Hopefully that will help him play the year out.gringo wrote:Geary started last year like a man possessed and drifted later in the year. I hope he keeps it up and really cements his spot. He is holding Rob eddy out of the side at the moment and last year I would have had eddy slightly ahead of Gears.
I love the way he just crashes into every contest, he is not overly skillful but he just goes like a terrier and makes everyone look over their shoulder. The saints really got on top in the final quarter thanks to the application of pressure and the ability of guys like gears forcing every possession to be a contest for freo. He reminds me of a young bakes, just on the slightly manic side of normal.
Armo and Geary and a great win

Armitage, Geary, Eddy and Steven all realise there is not room in the team for all of them.
They all have to be desperate if they want to play the following week.
A great position for the club to be in.

I think there is enough room in the team for all of Armitage, Geary, Steven and McEvoy. I've been saying it since the begining of last year, whilst we probably wouldn't have been as damagin last year due to their younger bodies I really think they're all ready for the big league...
