Nope - Best!
11 goals.
And we won by 130 odd points.
Tonight he was pivotal! And stepped up physically... 5 goals in a 2 goal win, might be worth more than 11 in a 22 goal win.....

Wasn't it 10 against Essendon R22 2008? Again, a similarly meaningless drubbing.Spinner wrote:SaintSimmo wrote:10 goals agaisnt brisbane 2004 rd 22??Spinner wrote:One of the best ive seen him play!

Kicked 7 against Richmond in a game we won by less than a goal two years ago.Spinner wrote:One of the best ive seen him play!

Hard to believe but if Jack Riewoldt had kicked the goal after the siren, we would have missed the finals and they would have finished 6th.SaintSimmo wrote:thats playing richmond, i know we were playing freo but they are a decent side now. That is perhaps the most amazing thing I have ever read in football.
Had we missed the 8 Ross might have got the chop, Terry Wallace could well still be at Richmond, and the footy world would look vastly different.

Love Milney, he adds excitement to the game and is easily the best small forward we've had and does deserve to be up there with the all time best small forwards.
He does need a big finals series but i think his work rate in the finals last year was great. He let himself down with his kicking in the GF but he wasnt the only one.
But he did kick a huge goal in the prelim in the 3rd quarter. In games that are as tough and tight as the final its always going to be hard for a small forward to kick a big bag, he just needs to chip in with one or two.
And to add to last weeks controversy I once heard Milney's Dad is a Collingwood supporter who still wants the Pies to beat us. Wonder what his Dad thinks of the old grey haired c*** now?

Love the guy, passionate saint through and through and you cant ask for more than 50 goals a season in which he delivers regulary. Big test for him will be finals this year, and i really hope he can get some redemption, he seemed so crushed after that GF.....
Good to see him really stand up not just this week, but also last week after Roo went down, i thought he presented really well.
Go milnedog!!

With Riewoldt and Koschitzke out it was important that we had a tall forward.
AND Milne stood tall tonight.
His long fast leads were exciting to watch.
A little guy doing the job of the giants.

"it's not how tall you are, but how tall you stand"
Milne certainly did this tonight.
