At Under 18 level (TAC Dragons) he was a brilliant footballer, but very, very light.
I think he'd need to have filled out a fair bit to survive in VFL

This match was originally to be televised, but that has been recently changed. It now looks llike there are no Sandringham games on TV this year.

A huge congratulations goes out Nick Sautner who was selected as captain for the year, Nick brings a great deal of experience to the side and is Sandringhams all time leading goal kicker and is also the games record holder for the mighty Zebras. Nick will have no deputy as such however there has been a leadership group appointed which consists of Shane Tregear, Maddison Hardiman, Cam Hunter, Brad Howard and Ricky Ferraro.
From Sandy Email news
Congrats Brad and good Luck Nick Saunter and team.

Thanks Saintbrat.
Geez I am hoping Jack and Stanley are getting amongst it...Raph playing well could also mean he could come in and put Gilbert or Sammy F at CHF next week.

Raph Clarke
Nick Heyne
Alistair Smith
Jack Steven
Robert Eddy
Steven Gaertner (R)
Tommy Walsh (R)

I just hope we reward whoever plays well. Ross shouldn't just pick Raph because he got through the game. If Ross doesn't pick players because of his belief in them doing an apprenticeship i think it would be a bad move.

I would be surprised if they went for a medium, given that they will need two skilled ruckman - Gardiner and King to combat Sandilands.
McEvoy can't get a hit out against guys his own height so he would be useless versus Sandilands so we are looking for a tall forward to mark and kick goals.
Pity Lynch couldn't play, he may have missed his golden chance with both Kosi and Roo missing.

Look forward to the match reports on when and where players were playing.

Great to see Jack start back so strongly :)

Also interested Tommy and Gaertner.

No McEvoy in there - really does need to lift.

Having said that, there's now 3 contenders for Roo's spot:-

- Stanley
- Cahill
- McEvoy
