Another great game by Blake last night. That goal was a testament to his hard work, and there is no doubt he is in out starting 22. Has stepped into Goose's shoes most admirably, and is now a key part of our backline.

Rubbish. He's always been a good player!I havent heard many attack Blake on here for some time cause facts are he has improved.

Interesting experience Friday night - had a group of Saints fans near me saying they'd always liked Jason Blake... that the things he wasnt good at weren't that bad, and the efoort more than made up for it.
Gave me a bit of a smile, this season I'd say it's 100% spot on.
Minutes later he went on to kick that goal, which prompted me to muse he must have had a knock to the head, because he thought he was Adam Goodes! Great goal.

You've got to give credit where credit is due . . . SOS is proving himself a pretty handy defensive coach.
Blake has been fantastic of late and I'm not just talking his effort either.
Sounds insulting for me to say it, but I'm actually amazed the level he's playing at. He's been bloody good!
Full credit to SOS & Lyon too.
Proving the list doubters wrong.

StKilda's swiss army pocket knife.
our poly filler
I will back to the death any player who pulls on a StKilda jumper who gives his all, not just just go through the motions.
I would love to see a few of the usual suspects have the guts to stand up now and repeat the anti Blake vitriol...not good enough, a hack, should be delisted....waiting...

Rubbish. Hes emerged as a good player he wouldnt have got a game at many clubs if he hadnt lifted his disposal ability.mischa wrote:Rubbish. He's always been a good player!I havent heard many attack Blake on here for some time cause facts are he has improved.

And theres still plenty of doubters waiting for the fall over...theyll be back but for the moment Lyon and co are doing the job.
I still believe our fwd set up isnt at optimum level yet.

Was a much maligned player, but always battled his guts out.
I thought he'd never be the same after Stafford plowed into his back, and it took a while but he's one of the most important players in the side.
Remember, top 10 B&F last year, and I think he might even be knocking on the door of top 5 this year.

strange as it sounds but the more the backline looks no name the better it performs. The defensive spoiling of max, blake and gilbert has been excellent. Can anyone think of another team that has developed their backline to such an extent that they are able to release there former CHB and second best backman into the midfield and wing :O

No doubt about the contribution of SOS on the coaching panel. He is proving to be a very good coaching assistant. The backline are teaming together beautifully at present with exceptional spoiling ability comin to the fore.Solar wrote:I agreeJeffDunne wrote:You've got to give credit where credit is due . . . I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.
