No I think you heard correctly...as I heard on the radio the same thing and went to post it...but you had beaten me to it.
So I think they said it wrong.
Maybe they confused it on Jarren (instead of Jarryd)..and went for the wrong surname...

My thoughts exactly. I would have probably kept McEvoy in and dropped Allen. Allen looked a bit lost, whereas McEvoy presented and could be a difficult forward to match up on when he swaps with Kosi in the ruck. As long as the ball doesn't hit him on the head. I think Gilbo is finding his form and he can be dangerous at both ends. The one I am most nervous about is Kosi. I hope he can prove me wrong. Maybe he should play on Nathan Thompson to see how he goes. After all he won the Rising Star as a CHB.Otiman wrote:He has been played straight off the back of a 6-8 week injury and is (was?) severely lacking in match fitness.super dooper wrote:And Gilbert keeps his spot how???
Should be good this week, but I said that about last week as well, at least it was an improvement on the week before.
Geary is probably the one who i'm amazed at keeping his spot. I guess he will be given the job on one of the small-mid forwards, as we don't have many options there.
We may never know.m_m wrote:what did dal do to be brought back into the team.

He certainly didn't deserve to be dropped on form. And he had less impact in the VFL than he does in the AFL.
So it's all mysterious. Maybe it was always planned as just a quick shock to him and the list to make sure they all know no-one's safe.

IMHO Milne and Dal were dropped to send a message to the other players and nothing more.m_m wrote:what did dal do to be brought back into the team.

Since Dal was not as hard at the contest as he could have been in recent weeks and Milne can be hot and cold at times they were the best candidates to be dropped, Dals stats in contested possies and tackles have dropped this year and Milney is......well Milney .
IMHO if it puts the blowtorch to the side in terms of hardness and accountability I say its well worth it. After all we won the game and gave much experiance game to a couple of youngsters which is what we desperatly needed to do.
