That just shows you that we have hardly blooded any players in the last 3-4 years due to terrible recruiting. Now that we have lost most of our core group of experience players due to retirements, we are left with a massive group of players with next to no senior experience.Pull Banger out of the total games stat at the end of next year (nearly 400 games by then) and the total will get down to around 2200. that will mak us nearly one of the youngest lists.
this is where statistics start to be misleading. We had a high games played total at the start of 07, but the reality was that a handful of players had played a big chunk of games and skewed the overall figure.
The problems we are facing now will take time. RL may have wanted to delist 5-6 players now that he has had 12 months to evaluate the list, but due to us having 5 players retire this season ( M.Clarke, Gehrig, Hamill, Thommo, Voss) he isn't in a position to do so.
Trade week should be interesting, and more importantly John Peake has a massive task in getting our recruiting back on track
