What a bloody shock though. I feel for his family, not sure if he had kids but if so then they're the ones that we should all feel for.
Mainwaring is survived by wife, Rani and two children.

This was suggested on MMM news.chook23 wrote:How did I guess you might go down this path Dan.Dan Warna wrote:yeppers have to be careful but certainly hints and allegations will abound.
no one wants to see a player die but if there is truth to the allegations covering it up will just compound the problem.
folks have to know how dangerous some of these chemicals are.
Disgusting discussing it without any info.
*Allegedly.

yep thats pretty much what I posted on BF, matera and mainwaring, the wings on which an eagle flys.n1ck wrote:what a shock.
fantastic player, i remember watching that 94 eagles team who i believe were comparable tothe best sides of this day and age.
matera on one wing and mainwaring on the other... unbelievable.
sad day for the eagles, and a sad day for footy in general.
no one wanted to see someone who was a very good footballer and apparently a nice bloke, to be dead.

94 wasnt mainys strongest year i think 92 he really set it alight part of the reason WC did nothing in 93 was due to mainey being out with injury
i still remember his comeback game in his last year after he had done his knee he had so much strapping and padding on his leg it looked like he was going out to bat then kick the footy

Er no it doesn't. If it is indeed what you suggest, may I point out that there is a 10-fold increase in the rate of suicide amongst those who have substance use problems.Riewoldting wrote:Looks more like a suicide than accidental.
Which makes a bit of a mockery of the "beware the evil of drugs" line that this event will be used to support.
Anyway, I'm too new to the country to know who he is and anything about his background, so I will echo what has been said - how tragic for the family that he is gone.

It was mentioned on SEN that they asked WA police if drugs were part of the death and they said that is something they will be investigating.chook23 wrote:have been listeningMr Magic wrote:SEN also reported it as 'drug related heart attack'.
when did they say that?
News report only mention a man reported in Street....a bit rowdy etc.
Have not heard mention of drugs in any report.
