I think he is a better option than anything we woudl get with pick 9, however if he has declared that he is leaving Brisbane then we could probably get Brisbane to throw in their second rounder.

They will not accept pick 27 in a weak draft for a kid who averaged 22 disposals and a goal per game (2nd in Brisbane's B&F) as a 19 year old.

This year they have focused on improving his defensive skills and his game suffered for it, but that is common for most young, attacking midfielders.

He is still only 20 and has plenty of room for improvement. If we need to give up pick 9 for him so be it.

Pick 9 for a player who is a mid fielder who cant get a game in a side that didnt make the 8? I dont think so.

It was injury rather than poor form that kept him out of the side for the better part of this year wasn't it?

I'd be hesitant to give up pick 9 for him but he can definitely play. As a goal-kicking midfielder he would slot into our side nicely.

He missed a couple of weeks with the flu and then an infected cut on his foot.

Overall he still played 14 games for Brisbane this year (after playing 50 consecutive from debut).

i doubt baker would have any value to any other club (not saying hes no a required player but he just isnt in demand )
