The average for the last 5 Boxing day test not including COVID is 67618, no matter who played.

$165 tickets are given to sponsors and MCC members who can't into the members stand. That's why you can't get them.

The last Ashes test had 57,100 on day one.
Half empty. Why google when you can just talk out your bum.

The test attendance record is about 90000, your delusion with your averages too.

Covid affected the poms, who come here for a holiday and part of that is the cricket and the beaches and the attractions. They couldn't get here. But still, lots of then live here, like the Indians and the Pakistanis.

Rank Most Searched Most Attended Most Participants
1 AFL AFL Aerobics
2 Cricket Horse Racing Golf
3 Football Rugby League Tennis
4 NRL Motor Sports Lawn Bowls
5 Golf Soccer (outdoor) Netball
6 Rugby Cricket (outdoor) Swimming
7 Soccer Rugby Union Cricket (outdoor)
8 Tennis Harness Racing Martial Arts
9 Basketball Tennis Basketball
10 Rugby League Dog racing Tenpin Bowling

BBL is played mid week at night and attracted 800000 spectators over 40 games or 120 hours of cricket.
The five tests scheduled for last series are planned for over 160 hours and attracted less than half at just under 350k.
The shorter games are propping up the game. A fact you seem focussed on ignoring.
Clearly you have a great capacity for concentration. How many 5 day games have you played. Lol

80K on Boxing Day at $100 per ticket
Then a further 100K on the other days

That’s 18 Million at the gate

Melbourne Stars
10-15 000 attendance at $25 per ticket (not counting u16 get in for free
That’s 325 000

Which form of the game is propping up which?

All Tests in England
Sold Out two years in advance- you need to go into a Ballot to get tickets
250-300 pounds ((up to 500 at Lords)

Then there’s the 100
Which gets maybe a couple of thousand to a game at 20 quid a ticket
Just wanted to remind you where you started. Now we have the facts. Let's not forget the number of free tickets included in the tests either.

Never played a 5 day game

That is reserved for test cricket- the pinnacle of the game

I have played half a dozen 4 day games - still at my age play 2 day cricket

Not sure what that has to do with anything

If you’re a BBL fan
I put you into one of two categories
A kid or a person who has NFI about cricket

Not a fan of BBL at all. Test cricket bores me. Last game I played was indoor in the early 90's and the idea of playing in the Rockhampton sun when I moved up there in 94 was not on the agenda.
Cricket is a good game to play, but boring to watch and has been for a while. I lost interest when Warne retired.

It's actually shameful isn't it? A generation of players that have forgotten a match goes 5 days and that requires the patience and fortitude to build an innings......

Did you see the colour of the wicket - Green played and missed 50 times!!!!

Teams in yesteryear also succumbed on green wickets - regularly

Moving ball
Too much for Head
Smith should not open
Marcus would fail in subbie 4s atm - his head is gone
Khawaja has turned into a dead bat
Green - had a good day
Marsh is a hitter
Carey an underachiever
