We need a list spot. Caminiti was contracted.Jacks Back wrote: ↑Wed 22 Nov 2023 9:28pmNow, is that a mistake? No Caminiti this year.ace wrote: ↑Wed 22 Nov 2023 7:27pm No more places
If Dan McKenzie wants to play anymore AFL football he needs to find another club and train there in the hope of being picked up.
Anyone hoping to gain a supplemental selection place by training at St Kilda needs to immediately rethink and find somewhere else to train.
St Kilda can't take them no matter how good they appear.

I very much doubt we will see much of Hunter Clark at AFL level next year....D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Wed 22 Nov 2023 3:51pm Bonner can run and can kick, there is beyond a doubt an undeniable pattern forming.
I’m guessing RTB wants either NWM up on a wing or Sinclair more on ball, therefore looking at some options for run and delivery out of the back half.
Time to get super fit Hunter Clark!

I think Clark will surprise the doubters like yourself. I don’t think he’ll be a consistent 30 possession per week player in 2024, but he’s going to be a regular in the seniors and one of our most important midfielders.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Thu 23 Nov 2023 12:41amI very much doubt we will see much of Hunter Clark at AFL level next year....D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Wed 22 Nov 2023 3:51pm Bonner can run and can kick, there is beyond a doubt an undeniable pattern forming.

No more serious injuries please. And if he does have a good year in 2024, I reckon he’ll be even better in 2025.

Clark was starting mid this year and got a 2 year contract so I think Ross likes him.

Re: Riley Bonner picked up by Saints in pre-season draft
Just looking at his highlights:-
Some against Sydney
A really good one against Saints on Marvel - not sure but I think it was at a point the game was in the dead rubber zone
A lot of them against North
Overall, good highlights. He just needs to replicate against contending teams for that year. Otherwise, he ends up like a GOP he's been to date.

I value your judgement. Let’s hope we might have another Mason Wood outcome.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Outside is ok. He has 93 games. His last 40 delivered 20p 4.5m 350m in a very strong and speedy midfield. Theres not too much wrong with that. Put him on a wing and let's see some more goals from 55m. Every goal of his career is a highlight. There aren't many, but they are beauties.happy feet wrote: ↑Thu 23 Nov 2023 7:47pmI value your judgement. Let’s hope we might have another Mason Wood outcome.

Re: Riley Bonner picked up by Saints in pre-season draft
Bonner cost us nothing.
He has actually played some good football. His kicking is elite and he's a smooth mover who's quick across the ground. Admittedly, he is poor one on one and is unlikely to involve himself in hard physical contests. Not everyone in football is a tough nut.
Mason Wood turned his career around by reinventing himself. Bonner's natural speed and agility gives him scope to the same.
Don't write the guy off. He's actually quite talented.

Bonner seems to be having a good preseason according to training reports.
Does anyone know why he was delisted by Port?

Re: Riley Bonner picked up by Saints in pre-season draft
Seems like physicality and defensive work were the issues. Makes sense that he'd excel in the low pressure environment of pre season training. Definitely has skills and run

Rozee, Sinn, Butters, Boak, Wines, Horne-Francis, Charleson, Drew, Lorenz and Jackson
Might have something to do with it.
That a and few upgraded and overpriced talls might have tightened the TPP belt a little.

Re: Riley Bonner picked up by Saints in pre-season draft
Bonner might be ok but given the number of similiar players on the list, I am surprised we didn't look to rookie a ruckman or key defender eg Vigo Visenti, Emerson Jeka, Patrick Voss or similiar.

I think we're more likely to play him as a link man on the wing than in the back 6.
Any reports from which group he operates in at training?

Yeah, the vibe I get from Port fans is less about him being a poor player but more so being the most expandable of a group of similarly paid/rated players
