They should go better back in Melbourne and with a longer break than us. However, IMO, there is something in the suggestion that they are poorly coached, and it would also seem that their GOPs - including Mr Acres our former pseudo-GOAT - are a bit more O than those of most of the other top teams.

(And the two points are related: one of the key tasks of a coach is to give the GOPs a framework in which they can perform better.)

I'm confident so long as Sunday doesn't take too much out of us. Hopefully ground holds up under games/rain and we're not running on the spot.

Carlton bottom 6 are very ordinary. How much would they love a Stocker right now? And their bomb it long game style has become so predictable. We know how that goes. Wilkie, Battle and Howard will love it.
Also real lack of speed on the middle play right into our hands.

We come out Sunday unscathed and we should put them to the sword.
Voss' s presser should be ringing alarm bells. He's kidding himself if he thinks they were "in the game". At no stage were they in it.

If you combined the two sides on Steele, Marshall, Wilkie, Sinclair and maybe Crouch would get a look in in the 23!

And the assistant coaches are seemingly pretty good

But we are going to falter- inevitably- because of list quality

100% Pav. In 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 weeks we could be eating our own again. Enjoy the unexpected, celebrate the wins (we'd be getting canned if it was zip - 4).

No one expected this start with our injury list & new coaching group. Too many years being meek, scared to dream, believing it's our destiny for it to fall over...F@ck that! Enjoy, get arrogant like every other club supporter has lauded over us. Worst case, we lose...boo hoo!

But we are going to falter- inevitably- because of list quality

We are a very fit, hard-running side, with quite a few endurance athletes and we'd be quicker than the 2009 side ... which is the first thing that stood out for Lyon, and suits his very-demanding game style.

And we are not short on list quality ... we have recruited well the last couple of years.

Our young players Owens, Caminiti, Windhager and Philipou are fierce competitors and having an immediate impact, and Byrnes has continued to improve, etc....

Injuries are our biggest problem.

If we can get on top of the injuries, we'll do well this year.
