5 Steele
4 Rowan
2 Ross
2 Sinclair
1 Windhager
1 Paton
Hannebery, Crouch, Membrey, Webster, Sharman, Wilkie, and King all good contributors on the day.
We should have been 10 goals up at 3 quarter time and had a few opportunities to ice the game early in the last. Hopefully it’s part of the learning curve for our youngsters in the forward line and especially King who needs to think ‘team’ rather than self. Our captain and the leaders steadied the ship in the last 5 minutes and we took time off the clock to deny their run.
Lots of positives from this last match and I’m especially pleased that we aren’t carrying any passengers.
Another 6 day break coming up and we’ve got our hardest assignment for the year coming up. I reckon we’ll play a good brand of footy next week and I expect us to give the Cats a bit of a scare…here’s hoping we can pull off a win.
