Very much a scapeErnie for that debacle, in my opinion.Beno88 wrote: ↑Fri 29 Jul 2022 10:18amOnly Steele had more tackles than Wanganeen-Milera vs the Bulldogs.
He had career best tackle and pressure act numbers.

Let’s hope he gets a run. Someone who is not getting a kick, sub them out with an apparent injury. Exploit the rule as others have been doing all season.

Everyone is exploiting this loophole. It is a bad rule, simply fixed. If you are subbed out for any reason you don’t play the following week.
Clubs are just using it to get fresh legs on the field. It arguably cost us at least one match this season (Port)

Only fair, logical and transparent fix would be: Team can bring on the emergency sub at any time. If it is done too soon and a player in the team suffers a real injury - stiff.
(Goes in the: "For every new rule introduced more rules will be required and the swings and roundabout dynamics this creates each season nullifies any point of historical match statistics" file)
Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

Let them get away with it in the GF wheee there is a chance of extra time and fresh legs may be needed. Both teams will be aware of it and exploit it anyway. But they miss round 1 the following season.
Fresh legs generally means loaded defences and congestion. I actually miss the style of football we had before the modern interchange game.

I recon that "back complaint" will keep him out for the remainder of the season so he's cherry ripe to hit pre season for his new club....Essendon.

Roo and Monty miffed expressed being miffed at selection this week. Gobsmacked that Hanners is in and Owens missed out

Hannabery entitled to a goodbye game even though he wasn't a good BUY!

Owens played one game after coming back from injury.
NWM one game in the VFL possibly working on something he needs to.
Think you’ll find the club hasn’t ruled out Hannebery playing next year..Cambell May also be retained as back up.

Re: Team v Hawks. Hanners back
Surely Saintmike65 that would be dependent on Hannebery at least playing the remainder of this season plus a heavily incentivised contract with a premium of actually playing AFL games.
I'd also imagine Campbell may be in limbo whilst the futures of developing / fringe ruckmen such as Briggs & Meek are sorted.

I’d rather win games - loser clubs use development as an excuse to lose
If the kids are in the best 22 - select them
If they are not - DO NOT gift the games

Re: Team v Hawks. Hanners back
Owens did a good job tonight, a stepping stone in his development. Should have always been selected, an AFL game for Owens can only be a positive.
As the games into NWM, Windhager and Sharman have been.
