Membership Upgrades

I use my Melbourne Cricket Club membership to purchase Level 2 Gold Reserve seating in the "Centre Wing members' area" at Marvel Stadium for home and away matches.
Hence my St Kilda H&A membership is really a donation.
The upgrade for simple H&A membership is a level 1 reserved bay.
I won't be using that but I will have the knowledge that I have a better view of the game than most.

Grand FInals are guaranteed (except when Dan stuffs up) to be played at the MCG.
My MCC membership allows me to enter a ballot for a grand final ticket.

Should I miss out I need to start queuing before sunrise.
Take a Travel John with me to quell the excesses of my Type 2 diabetes.
Get a reserved seat ticket shortly after 8AM.
Go home and then return to the MCG before the first bounce.

I won't put myself through the latter process unless the Saints are playing in the Grand Final.

on the wing lev 2

i quite enjoyed the ‘raised view’

my old reserved seating at the Dome was
Lev 1 (more flank)

one of the boys i went with
thought little of lev 2 seating
so we did the Richmond final on lev 1
in a pocket

he was happier
i struggled to see into the far pockets
but i suppose thats what the big screen is for

behind the interchange is my preferred
adds an element or ten to proceedings

very ... take no prisoners
best win
otherwise the supporters will make each other grin

My kids like ground level as close to the fence as possible.
This year you could hear the yelling and the slap of the collisions.
I can't see from that angle at my rate of eyesight decline.
Level 1 for me, but did get a very good view on level 2 at the Gabba.

Since the late 90s there has been a cap on Social club memberships because of the promise that if StKilda make the grand final you will be guaranteed a ticket , with these upgrades have we still got that guarantee?? Or as a 30yr Social club member do I go in too the hat with someone who has never been a Social club member but because of a upgrade will became one next yr

Mine said I am still guaranteed a grand final ticket if St Kilda make it. After being a social club member for over twenty years I would be mighty pissed if they changed it.
