Getting harder to find more questions...

Try this one...

Name this former Saint Captain....

(Dont mind the jumper either, much better than the red, black and yellow one we had this year IMO)

If that's too hard, name this former player......

I'll go for the Dave McNamara and Ben Coghlan quinella.

oops, I meant Glen Coghlan.

As for the oldtimer, I will go with "Algy Millhouse" or Gordon Dangerfield. (I wish I had my "Point of it All" at work.)

Just jumping in with one. sorry.
Last year when Gehrig kicked 8 against the Bombers, and Roo kicked 7 in the same game.
Who was next best with 3 on the day?

Okay...

Round 19, 1990...

The Saints lost to the Hawks

17.17:119 to 13.5:83

What major incident occured during the match involving Brereton?

The knob racially villified Nicky Winmar and set the match alight with violence. Can't quite remember the full details but we definitely had some players reported. That No 23 prick from the Dawks stomped on someones head as well.

Close, he stepped on Frawley’s head, but that was back in 1988. In the 1990 game, he abused Winmar, who promptly gouged his eye so ferociously that he could well have ripped an eyeball out of the socket. Had he been successful, Dermie might not have turned out the successful TV personality he has gone on to be.

Yep charged with kicking and eye gouging, he pleaded guilty to the eye gouging but not guilty to the kicking

Two of the (few) highlights of the 80's for me were watchng the Saints play in the Reserves GF in 1982, and winning 5 in a row (unheard of!) in 1987.

Which two teams (unfortunately) beat us in 1982, and ended 'the streak' in 1987?

Oops, I didnt read your question properly. I thought you were talking about the 1987 reserves grand final.

After winning 5 in a row we lost against the lowly tigers.

Yep... Richmond were on the bottom at the time... and put us back in our box with a 12 goal flogging!

First time I had ever seen St. Kilda complacent... unfortunately not the last...
