Hehe...this is all fun, but not likely IMO. He might be a Sainter at heart, but there's no room for him here as a player, nor is there under the salary cap.
On the face of things, he's perfect for the Doggies, but they're a smokey. Otherwise, best fit is the Swans (who have the room on their list, the fit as a team, and the cash) and Collingwood (who could use him in the team, and have the cash).
Of course, how often do these things work out as predicted?

Delightful. Get on the blower and give Ross a buzz and explain.plugger66 wrote:Fev is a great player with attitude problems. Kosi is a good to very good player with a great attitude. if you could get inside Fevs head and somehow put a brain in there i would go for it but I dont think it is possible so I say stay with Kosi.reincarnated wrote:It is quite simple. Answer is no. Kosi has more of an upside, can ruck once in a while, does not chuck tanty's on the field, kicked 50 this year in a team that always looks for Riewoldt.plugger66 wrote:Its quite simple. If we want Fev we must lose Kosi. There isnt any other choice so how do we think about that?
Reincarnated believes that forward line looks okay. All players kicked goals this year which is a good sign
What does Plugger think?
Reincarnated will call Westy and explain and then we will reconvene for coffee tomorrow at 11

I wouldn't be entertaining Kosi for Fev, just not worth it.
I think it would be a matter of the club saying this is what we are prepared to offer and then it becomes take it or leave it for Carlton.
What that might be is debatable, perhaps Maguire and a 2nd rounder, but who knows, all guesswork from us keyboard warriors. We don't have to bend over backwards for this one, if it works out well and good, if not then so be it.
In the end I am happy to trust Ross and co to assess this one and make the best possible decision. They seem to have done this very well over the last few years and I don't see why that would change now.
I do think Fev would fit in fine though, and I think he would provide that X factor we sometimes lack. Perhaps he doesn't play FF at St Kilda and plays the 3rd tall role? Maybe off a HFF, although he would need to improve his defensive game to be of any value.
As for his character, it seems to me he plays up in the off season, but not when it is game on time. Can anyone think of a time where he has been out of line during home and away?

I don't want him..... I don't care how many goals he can kick.
The fact is he is a sook when things don't go his own way.
He is the first to drop his head, cost the team 50's and if he hits ground, instead of trying to get the ball he looks to the ump's 9 times out of 10 for a free kick.
Off field is another story all together, why would you
He is 29 next year and we are that close to a flag, I personally don't want a boozie culture coming near the club.

In Ross Get lost!
I am excited to stay at St Kilda and this is a great result for the Club and all our fans. I’m proud to be part of the Saints and am pleased to be playing football with the Clubâ€

What do you think of Barry Hall?Sunday Red wrote:HAHAHA! 9 pages!!! Are you serious?
Fev will NEVER play for the Saints!
It's taken us years to weed dickheads out of the club. Do you honestly think anyone in the current administration would throw it all away by recruiting him?
End discussion, close thread. Seriously

He did absolutely nothing to calm down a team mate who was obviously a liability. If Judd couldn't see the s*** storm that was about to erupt as a result of Fevola's antics, he's clearly not the leader everyone thinks that he is.plugger66 wrote:What the hell did Judd do wrong at the brownlow?St Michele wrote:He wouldn't need to speak to Roo like that as he doesn;t behave like Judd did.SainterK wrote:If he did come to the saints, and if dared spoke to Roo like he did Judd evil:
You have to be joking. No one was going to calm Fev down. My point is that if Kosi and Riewoldt can't get it together with Riewoldt playing "high" and Kosi playing "deep", how would Kosi and Fevola combine, both playing "deep".reincarnated wrote:Reincarnated notices the bulls*** about Kosi not being able to lead away from Riewoldt and into Riewoldt's space. What a crock. Kosi played deep as this year and did a great job whilst Riewoldt as a little higher.
Do not let a few poorer games cloud your views on what was a 50 goal season for Kosi.
Sheesh some supporters have short memories. They complain about the media getting it wrong. Clean up your own backyard Kosi had a great year
Not possible.
Fevola gets his goals by leading into space, the same space that Riewoldt uses.
Riewoldt and Fevola would each get less goals if not in total, in the same team.
Therefore Fevola is not a good fit for St Kilda - keep kosi for his 45 goals and try to train him better.
Fevola is untrainable.

maybe he could see it and opted to let Brendan be Brendan..Judd has probably reached the end of his tether with Fevola....Sunday Red wrote:He did absolutely nothing to calm down a team mate who was obviously a liability. we only see the isolated incidents...Judd sees them all....
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

I'm not suggesting Judd should have personally calmed him down and led him back to his hotel room, but he should have got on the phone to the Carlton football or media manager and let them know to do something to avoid what was a catastrophic situation!plugger66 wrote:You have to be joking. Instead, he stood there with a beer laughing, joking, playing along and looking like an absolute moron. Carlton should demand better.

He was on camera. Should he have hit him or lead him away. He did what anyone would do including roo. Laughed it off. And how do you know he didnt speak to someone from channel 9 or Carlton as Fev was taken off street talk pretty quickly.

fev for kosi- no deal
fev to saints by the way of a miracle...ball, goose and clarke for fev and the return of our man.. our Robert Harvey. DEAL .
saying that i wanna see a flag at this club, but i wanna see the boys who have played there guts out the last few years, slogging away each week, building the club to the level it is..these are the boys i wanna see wave the silver. We have many a boys in ur team who have taken a pay cut, kept grinding away...stayed together.
no some blue that drunk himself to a state that saw him lose his job, and in the hunt for a flag came to us.
Final say: Fev and Harvs as a duo...we should take a look.
