I just renewed my membership, but without the reserved seat...

Still available apparently Level 2 Aisle 28 Row C Seat 51.

I am sure one of the hordes on the waiting list will be eager to snap it up

Oh well back up with the great unwashed on L3 I suppose.

Please you lot, I know we have water restrictions, but possibly could you all have a tub at least three days before a game???? 8-)
No probs Toff/Joff/whatever your name is.

But please don't visit us in the "clean" reserved seat section in the bleechers!

1,500 in the week.

around the same as 2007- about 1,600 less than 2008 but both years were around the same end result.

I know of several still to be signed- so more still to come.

I would think our final total is going to be about 28500 which is poor to say the least. Matter of fact it could end up second lowest in victoria. How we can be less popular than some of those sides is beyond me. What has happened to our membership?

serious issues aint it plugger?

Is it our game style, or shythouse marketing??

I reckon they are the two biggest issues.

I have no doubt those 2 are part of it and also RL in his first 2 years didnt really take advantage of getting our name into the media but it is all changing this year. Did you notice Channel 7 are advertising this Friday as access all areas to the Saints. Hope it isnt to late though.

Hmm...no wonder RL was pushing membership in his post-match presser Sat night

There were more people at the Swans membership tent than ours when I arrived on Sat evening.

I know the rollover thingy will change the amount of people who sign up Round 1..but 300 only??????? That AINT good at all!!

AF stated in his forum on SaintsCentral that only 1/2 the number of memberships from last year were sold at Family Day.....but blamed the weather?

Im the all-original glass half full bloke, but if we dont break 30,000 Members this year our Membership Dept need a massive kick up the bum. We CANNOT afford to lapse back into the Melb/North/Bulldogs group. We HAVE to try and keep pace with the Carltons and Richmonds.

So we still are 500 shy of cracking 28K!

We have little hope of cracking 30K, unless we win our first 5 games.

SURELY that will get us over the 30K mark.

Thanks for the legacy Archie!

Have a feeling it is suppoters who refuse to join more than AF fault.

AF was in charge of the club, including marketing.

Yes, our game plan last year could've been a bit more attacking, but we made the Prelims.....surely we can still attract 30K members?

Good marketing will, to some extent, cover over onfield issues IMO.

The club are making a real attempt to get more members starting at the game last Saturday and also by ringing all lapsed members this week for 4 hours. I think every player is involved. The questilon must be why wait this long?

im sure solar means those that can afford it and just sit about and dont do it because of laziness.

not because they have more important priorities like paying bills while in a job transition.

In defence to Solar, I am sure his post was directed to the people that are employed.

All the best to you Depressed in getting a job in the near future.

For people that are employed I pay just over $20 a month for my membership, reserved seat and the Age (home delivered 4 days a week).

Great value!

you don't need a reserved seat

I save for mine ALL year for next years

others I know get theirs for their birthday or christmas from their family

There are heaps of ways to buy it.

And thats just for those will little money, my post was headed at those who could afford it when we were flying in 2004 but can't now....

hell if unemployment was th stopper for memberships then the pies would have 12 members and a dog....

Yes I know that, but for under $6 a week, you can get a membership, RESERVED seat and the Age home delivered for 4 days....

Using the easy payment plan....

Buying The Age, for those 4 days alone, would cost you more than that...

It would be like buying The Age for 4 days and get your membership for free.

I just fail to fathom just why we have 6,000 lapsed members (apart for the unemployed)

Every club has about 20% turnover rate every year. It is no more than usual just disappointing that we cannot get it lower.

Well I contacted the Club a few months back with a reverse membership plan, and they said they loved it and are in negotiations with The Age for next year, to maybe include this with their current plan.

The idea was, yes we promote The Age, and I thought that The Age should also promote The Saints, by providing deals for home delivery for 4 day and 7 day home delivery at a reduced cost and they will give the subscribers a free Saints membership...

We will just have to wait to next year and see what happens...

My idea was to grab the lapsed members and also gain some membership for "non Saints Fans" and non AFL supporters, that purchase The Age
