Yes because Judd was sweating on a player being down so he could run over and perform some pre practised  move on them.

Cyril Rioli shown doing the same thing to a standing Robert Warnock two weeks ago. Good vision pick up. Show the hysteria over Judd is just that, hysteria. I say again, I saw Joel Selwood also tackle an arm on Saturday night. The vitriol directed at one player is just wrong if you ask me. Let him defend himself and get judged. And let the AFL introduce a rule against it. Rioli got away with it. Judd probably won't.

What's that got to do with anything. Its no coincidence that the media people making the most noise about this arse the ones that didn't play.

Really disagree with you on this one Curly. Have you watched the footage of the incident closely? Yep, I agree that it doesn't LOOK violent or overly aggravated, but - what the F*** was he doing? You said in a previous post that he was just grabbing his arm. What for?
The North guy was pinned face down to the ground with another guy on top of him. His other arm was pinned underneath him and his face was squashed into the turf. Carlton's defence that Judd was trying to stop a handball is laughable. Handball!!!! From that position.
And Judd dislocated the bloke's shoulder. He didn't just grab his arm - he dislocated his shoulder. Should definitely get weeks - 3 or 4 minimum.
Perhaps there is an element of trial by media. Doesn't change the seriousness of the impact of his action.

yep...exactly what he was sweating on imhfo......you obviously missed reading this article

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/more-ne ... 6426646414

"A FORMER bodyguard of Nelson Mandela and General Norman Schwarzkopf has been embroiled in the Chris Judd "chicken wing" controversy.
Chris Judd

John Donehue, a "specialist coach" at Carlton focusing on tackling, was employed to toughen up the Blues.

With Judd facing suspension for twisting the shoulder of Kangaroo Leigh Adams in a bizarre motion, stories about Donehue playfully teaching "trick" tackles emerged.

Donehue has previously worked at Essendon - and former Bomber Andrew Welsh and current player Mark McVeigh have given an insight into his craft.

"As you do as men and boys, you try and find a couple of little tricks after the session's on and try and stitch each other up," Welsh told Triple M.

"He (Donehue) had some nice head locks and the old chicken wing. He's there (Carlton) and I'm sure, boys being boys, you try and have some fun after training and unfortunately it's followed out on the field."

Bombers veteran Mark McVeigh told 3AW that Donehue was "intimidating".

"One of the techniques that they did employ (at Essendon) was to make sure you pin the arm and can't get rid of the footy and I think that's the way Juddy's going," McVeigh said.

Donehue, a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, has also worked closely with the NRL's Melbourne Storm."

Yup... there's 30% loading too, isn't there?

I'd say 4-6 + loading.

Was a sadistic dog act.

There is one thing that we can be certain about regarding the penalty - he will be available to play in round 23.

Not the same. You have more of a chance of defending yourself in this type of tackle when you are standing as opposed to lying face down in the turf with an opposition player on top of you and the offender pulling and twisting your arm out of the socket.

The Rioli incident should have been looked at and dealt with but it slipped through the net. This happens every week. Heck, Judd got off for eye gouging and won a bronlow. However, little hard to compare the 2 incidents, don't you think? Fantastic pick up from Carlton. Don't think finding this vision of Rioli and leaking it to the media is going to help him too much tonight though.

4 weeks would be my guess.

A 525 point penalty loaded up by 30% equates to about 680 points - or 6 weeks.

Sounds about right to me!

Im still on 4 weeks. Has a loading of 30% but will probably get a 25% discount due to a guilty plea. That cancels each other out so 4 weeks seems fine to me.

I thought going to the tribunal the loading and discount system didn't apply?

I'm still not waiving from my view but I am now seeing that guilty is inevitable. And I reckon he'll probably get about six going on the media reports. They are all over it. Sheehan says three weeks and he's right only half the time, so six is my guess.

straight to the tribunal means he does not get the 25% discount

Yeah, no discount.

Six for mine. And his blatant psychotic weirdness may well - in a sense - domino his coach out of a job...

Not good any way you look at it.

What on earth was he thinking?

On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Quite possibly.

The panel head can and i think will direct the other members to factor in a 25% discount for a guilty plea.

Wayne Carey on Triple M agrees that this is a media beat up and rubbish. I like Carey hope he gets off.

JUdd is a weak dog who only attacks people when they are on the ground with somone on top of them - Riscatelli, Adams, Pavlich, Cambell Brown. All on the ground play stops and comes from the blind side .

He should get 6 weeks for that as his only intention with a hold like that was to hurt his already taped shoulder.

Forget the name and reutation of this great player go on the facts

lol what an argument.

You dont have to be a murderer to know it is wrong.

Methinks you have a bit of your ego wrapped up in this argument Curly. You have taken a position and now just looking for fights.

Not necessarily the case... Just because (i assume) none of us on here have played AFL (remember, playing football isn't exclusive to just AFL level), doesn't mean we don't understand it, nor can we identify a malicious and dangerous action...

Ask someone that does jiu jitsu (not necessary to have won Olympic gold in the field) what they think of the maneuver, you may get a shock as to how dangerous and intentional it was....
