Dow showing us his ball handling skills. A fumble from him results in a Brisbane goal.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Alas Dow has had a rough year. Not nearly the revelation we hoped for.
Would have 12 months to turn it around I reckon

Final Score,
Saints 5-9-39 v Lions 19-10-124.
Glad that one's over.

Re: Matchday Thread -Saints V Brisbane
Ehh, par for the course really. We played very poorly but it was also a clearly top 4 side vs a clearly bottom 10 side (being generous)
Still a long way off the Lions and why wouldn’t we be. They were flag runners up last year and will be flag favourites now

Mmm… I’m a little unsure why we re-signed Hill. Was it his hardness at the ball, willingness to tackle hard and put his body on the line and lead by example?

Dow, Hill, Butler, Caminiti, Higgins ... poor games.
Higgins was too small for Starcevich ... poor match up.

Our clearance work was non existent. Like witches hats at the centre bounces. How is it possible to be that bad at the centre clearances? McInerney destroyed Marshall in the ruck. We all love Ro, but tap work is not his forte. We desperately need decent midfielders.

Plenty of other problems tonight but like above comments got ripped a new one at clearance. Hindsight great but why not play Campbell against Oscar - and other dinosaur rucks - per the first meeting? Their elite mids has a field day with first use.

Another gun mid (or two) would have been very useful!
