Re: Saints v Dogs Elimination Final Match Thread 2020
Lonie 7d, 2t, 1.1 - chasing like a machine, set up a goal
Butler 6d, 1 tackle, provided some good movement and run into F50
Kent 3d, no tackles, on one occasion failed to spoil and stop short of running to another contest leaving his team mate to go alone
Kid really needs to find a way to contribute

He did it twice: the second time didn't look as bad as the first. The first time the Dogs player fell into Long's shoulder to some extent, which might help him. But I think a 1-2 game suspension is a possibility.silverhalo wrote: ↑Sat 03 Oct 2020 6:48pm Dermie saying that Ben Long might be in trouble because he bumped when he could have tackled......ffs, are we seriously playing netball here

Yep, Jake has been great, should always be one of the first picked

Carlisle has come to life...it's the combo of finals footy and no contract. You have to keep him hungry

On the basis of the first two quarters, I'd say that those who claim that the Dogs have a strategy of playing for free kicks are definitely onto something.

Butler, Steele and Billings must lift!

Re: Saints v Dogs Elimination Final Match Thread 2020
Backline has stood up. Heart in mouth but that's ok.
Wilkie. My word. We have a player
Jones, Hanners, Hill. Thus us why we got them.
Rucks. Dominating. Need to make better use out of the middle. Steele being well held.
Sinclair. Well done young man. Been excellent.
Our Mozie fleet been good.
King. So sweet. So, so sweet. He will dominate in years to come.
Need to keep Daniels and Bailey quiet.
Think our midfield has been good. We need to keep up pressure.
We are in this. Bring it home boys!!!
Go Saints!!!

Only 10 tackles.
Perhaps thats because when someone like Butler does an inspirational 30m chasedown it gets paid in the back!

I reckon Ben had stopped and the Dog ran into him.meher baba wrote: ↑Sat 03 Oct 2020 6:51pmHe did it twice: the second time didn't look as bad as the first. Having said that, I’d like to see him attacking the ball and taking it with him more often.

The Wallis free really really pissed me off. Umpire right there it wasn’t a free didn’t look like a free yet he paid a free. This is a final you can’t gift teams goals.
