Re: 2016 SPONSORHIP GROUP
And the winner is:
SemperFidelis
I'd still appreciate two more numbers in case SF can't use the tickets.

We can't do a Miss Universe, so i'll just go with the number I saw first and the prize goes to SemperFidelis.saintbrat wrote:Winners only has posted a number in the other thread
I do have a 2nd place winner based on WinnerOnly's call and the other two both pointed to the same poster for 3rd place.
I won't announce the names in case they try to nobble our winner.

Re: 2016 SPONSORHIP GROUP
I'd like to draw a line under this soon. We still have two posters that haven't followed through on their commitments.
I'm not out of pocket, I've collected $60 more than we needed but I was going to send the excess to the club and hope they would provide an extra ticket or some trinket that we can put in the prize pool.
I'll keep it open until the end of next week to see if we get that $80 that has been promised.

Just a thought but if we have collected more many than we needed on $20 shares where do the extra shares come from?kosifantutti wrote:I'd like to draw a line under this soon. We still have two posters that haven't followed through on their commitments.

Re: 2016 SPONSORHIP GROUP
A couple of people wanted to be a part of it after we had the original 100 shares pledged.
I figured it would be better to have more money than to come up short. We'll still be short of what was required to sponsor a senior player, but I'll just forward the extra money to the club and hopefully something a little extra will come back to the prize pool.
Worst or best case depending how you look at it, if everyone pays we have 107 shares. My 3 shares won't be in the prize draw and I'm sure a number of people will not be interested in specific prizes. So I reckon there will be less than 100 tickets in each prize draw.

Re: 2016 SPONSORHIP GROUP
Awesome night had by all at the first player sponsorship event, and I am delighted to report the younger son of Semper upheld the fine reputation of this board (?!) and won the goal kicking comp.
Full report with photos to follow, but our sponsee (Brandon White) is a bona fide winner (at least so far as this household is concerned).

Good stuff SemperFidelis. Hope Brandon took note of your son's kicking technique. Quite happy to have a defender who can dob a goal.SemperFidelis wrote:Awesome night had by all at the first player sponsorship event, and I am delighted to report the younger son of Semper upheld the fine reputation of this board (?!) and won the goal kicking comp.

Re: 2016 SPONSORHIP GROUP
Got this from the club today. If anyone wants to buy tickets to the big event as part of the Brandon White sponsorship, let me know.
Good Afternoon,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to follow up on the email I forwarded through late last week in regards to the upcoming Hall of Fame & 1966 Premiership Anniversary Celebration dinner to be held on Saturday April 9.
As previously mentioned, in addition to celebrating the 17 living legends who represented our club on that famous day 50 years ago, one of our club’s favourite sons, Robert Harvey, will be elevated to Legend status in the St Kilda Football Club’s Hall of Fame. It really will be an event not to be missed.
We would love to see you there on the night – and once again I have attached details and booking form. Please complete and return the form to secure your tickets – all Player Sponsors can book in at the member price of $275.00 incl. GST per person.
One-off Opportunity – Kick to Kick on the MCG
Furthermore, we are offering the first 30 people who purchase 2 tickets to the event an invitation for one child to participate in a pre-game ‘kick to kick’ on the hallowed turf of the MCG before our players take to the field at the Rd 3 match v Collingwood on Saturday 9th April. (see details below):
What’s involved
· Kick-to-kick on the ground
· Saints show bag (one per child)
· Photos which we will share through our community and club Instagram accounts
· Mascots and players for photos and autographs
Key times
· 9.30am – Registration
Arrive at Gate 3 (please keep an eye out for a Saints marquee) to register, and collect tickets and show bags.
· 10.30am – Kick-to-kick
Move onto the ground for a kick and for photos with players and mascots.
· 11.15am – Finish up
We will safely usher everyone off the grass so the groundsmen can prepare the deck for the game. People can take their seats or grab a bite before the bounce at 1.45pm.
I’m sure you’ll agree that this is a wonderful opportunity for your child, grand child or even great grandchild to participate in what truly is a unique experience, and one that would be envied by all those that miss out.
All you need to do is be one of the first 30 player sponsors to purchase two (2) tickets to the Hall of fame / 1966 Premiership Reunion Celebration dinner on Saturday 9th April, and we will do the rest.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch, otherwise please fill out the attached booking form and return it to me at your earliest convenience.
Once again, we look forward to seeing you on the night.

Re: 2016 SPONSORHIP GROUP
A couple of things.
As mentioned earlier, we have finished with an extra $100. I've given up hope of getting the other $40 that was pledged.
Rather than try to extract another ticket to one of the events from the club that only certain people will be able to use, it might be better to get a $100 voucher from the Saints Locker that just about anyone could use. Would that suit everyone?
Also, it would be nice to update the banner before the end of the year. Does anyone have the photoshop skills to put up a banner with a picture of our lad Brandon White.

Re: 2016 SPONSORHIP GROUP
Ok. I have taken out those mentioned above as well as myself and Plugger66 who I contacted via bigfooty.
There are now 80 live tickets which I have randomly assigned to sponsors.
Could I please ask for some non sponsors to pick a number between 1 and 80. I want to get three separate posters just in case there is trouble getting in touch with the winner. I will send some PM's to people on line as well to see if I can get these numbers happening.
Please vote now.
