Absolute rubbish. In 2009 Sneids and Milney had little bets on who would get the most tackles. Milney won his share. I will agree that he struggled hold tackles earlier in his career.magnifisaint wrote:He's much cleaner with the ball than Milne. I think your memory is fading. Stats suggest Milne is in front.
As opposed to the lack of class of Milney.
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Geez haven't seen Schnieder stick a tackle. Anyway Lonie will be better.kalsaint wrote:Absolute rubbish. In 2009 Sneids and Milney had little bets on who would get the most tackles. Lonie's 8 games so far have been pretty promising.
I'll take a retrospective review of his career after he has played 275 games and kicked 574 goals.
A few snapped goals and some gutsy tackles just doesn't warrant comparison at this stage.

True - but I love the way he stays on his feet and never looses balances when chasing multiple opponents tackle to tackle - the 2 guys he stitched up late in the second ? Was one of the best chase downs I think I have ever seenTrev from the Bush wrote:Lonie's 8 games so far have been pretty promising.

Great win, club was pretty confident going in. Obviously a few sore and sorry boys after the game. Hick with a pretty sore knee.

Anything to worry about Tony? How did D Mac pull up? And can you shed any light on Savages omission?tony74 wrote:Great win, club was pretty confident going in. Obviously a few sore and sorry boys after the game. Hick with a pretty sore knee.

No Hick will be right. Macca pulled up really well but the morning will tell. Savage- simple rotations, nothing to worry about.

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Lions Gabba 2015
Seems like we didn't beat much. Adcock, C Beams, Aish and Rockliff were all injured during the game. Aish had a broken jaw so would have been painful just running around. Maybe we shouldn't get too excited as they were severely hampered.
