Paul Amy‏ @PaulAmy375

Another key signing for @footyefl club Rowville. And it’s another Noble Park star, premiership forward Zig Alwan. Follows Jamie Gwilt to the club.

Curren going to Claremont
Tom the Tiger – Curren signs on

Claremont Football Club is excited to announce the signing of Tom Curren on a two-year deal. Lured west after spending a year with Sandringham in the VFL where he was named club captain, Curren had previously spent 7 years with St Kilda Football Club making his debut in round 17 of 2013 and went on to play 25 games with a number of frustrating injuries curtailing the chance to add further games beyond 2016. A strong natural on baller with the ability to play through half forward, a revitalised Curren will not only add firepower to the tigers front half

"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."

Frankston for Jason ? After he jumped through the hoops to get back into Australia
The Dolphins’ recruiting targets include former Richmond defender Jake Batchelor and delisted St Kilda ruckman Jason Holmes.

“We’re confident we can build a really good list and one that we can continue to develop,’’ Skrobalak said.

Leigh Fisher- Fish- notches up 100 games as an umpire this weekend

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/m ... 69aac709ce
Former Saint Fisher will this weekend notch a remarkable milestone when he joins South Melbourne’s Dick Gibson (101 games from 1899-1909) as the second former player to umpire 100 games.

Fisher, 34 next week, played 55 games in a career plagued by injury and says after eight years in his second career he now identifies more as an umpire.

He knows feedback is never far away — as the owner of the “Cornerstone and Co.” cafe in Hampton and Brighton restaurant Osteriya, he gets it from patrons on a weekly basis.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
He and wife Jodie have a 19-month-old son Harvey, with Fisher admitting St Kilda legend Robert Harvey might have been an inspiration.

“There might have a bit there,” he quips.

Now after 100 games in the system he is determined to umpire his first final this year after narrowly missing out last season.

Welcome Back Allan
Allan Murray Saints Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Program Manager
Noted that Allan Murray is back involved with the club- still remember his first game when he replaced Capuano and Kicked a goal or 4 at the G when the Ponsford stand was half down.
He was then elevated from the rookie list later that year and made his debut for the Saints in Round 10 of the 2003 season, scoring four goals against Hawthorn. Despite his impressive debut for the Saints, Murray's playing opportunities with the club were limited.

Summary
I am a proud Aboriginal man who has experience in the Victorian government, private sector, not-for-profit, elite sporting environment .

I was previously the Senior Advisor to The Hon. Natalie Hutchins MP - Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Local Government and Industrial Relations, and are leading the nation with the self-determination agenda.

I have recently moved across to the worlds leader engineering firm - WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff as the Senior Manager, Indigenous Participation and Outcomes to also embed Traditional Owner design principles on major projects across Victoria, the aim also is to build capacity with the Aboriginal community around Aboriginal procurement and employment.

I’m also assisting St Kilda Football Club and elevating their Indigenous Participation by managing the Reconciliation Action Plan and the clubs Indigenous programs.

Just reading my local community newspaper and the names of a few ex-Saints jump out at me.

Dramatic win for Perth against Tigers

“Perth veteran Clint Jones was the hero in a dramatic on-the-siren win for Perth over Claremont at Claremont Oval on Saturday. Aside from the opening scores in the game, the Tigers (Claremont) were never headed until the final second of play, giving Perth their second win of the season...............................
Four goals each to Beau Maister and Tom Lee...........were not enough to get the Tigers home...........”

I guess Saints could do with Tom Lee’s accurate kicking for goal!!!!!!!!
