Are you kidding farkwit. Coming up against a side that is ahead of us in the development curve and needed to have a crack. That plus shook the boys, coaches and club when Lones went down.
Just no farking clue about anything.
The game turned when Lonie went down. He's going to be a big loss.
Game had turned before then.
He went down in the last minute of the first quarter.

However, his game was no where as effective as Marshalls is to us. We get a lot more clearances because of Marshall's ability to get the ball in the middle and get it out with a handball or kick.
Longer dies not have this ability, but as I said, he took some good marks and got a few possessions.
Meanwhile 6 gamer O'Brien did everything better..

Game looked like it turned about half way through the first. After the initial 15 minute burst we looked very lazy.

Too many injuries - marshall, bruce lonie, long. Poor ball use. Mids smashed Just an off day - it happens. Effort was good, just too many turnovers.
No one is s***, no need to get out the pitch forks, just lick your wounds come back hard next week. Also, Adelaide got the rub of the green today. A number of blind kicks out of packs hit their forwards.
Ill take 4-2

Thought billy had a slow start, had a good second qtr and faded in the 4th. He was heavily strapped so wondercwhether he was right to go.

AFL players never go out and 'be lazy". NFI. We were flat, shot and beaten by what could end up being a very good side. No shame and certainly e were not lazy.

Manhandled by a sixth gamer. No impact at either the center bounce or boundry.

Just not good enough. There is no way to put any spin on this.

New Fun Fact for 2019:

Saints lose all matches when Longer plays in seniors

Seriously speaking; he was ok today and servicable. We had a fair few boys down and the coaches have the task ahead of them to get some spark back in the team

Gold Coast played the Crows back into form last week.
Big month for the Saints, playing Pies, Cats, Giants
and Eagles.
I'd be rapped if we could snag one of those!!!

The main reason is that they made the most of their opportunities and we didn't (until the last ten minutes when they dominated but we scored). Our problem is that we are down one player. Jack Steele needs to "mind" Rory Sloane, let him get the ball and bring him hard to the ground about six times. We need to push Dean Kent into the centre for added hardness. We can't do much about their captain, he's just too good a player.
I absolutely criticise his selection.

We've shown decent form using a particular strategy, which relies on contested marking (down the line) or at worst 50/50 and a stoppage. It's basically been buying an easy 'get out' of D50.

Selecting a player that notoriously cannot contest in the air has hurt us badly.

We're still using the kick down the line - buts it's coming back with interest because there's zero aerial contest.
Hilarious f****** thing is he's in the top 5 for marks. Just shows how farking dumb the haters are.

Gee we've got dumb supporters

Wow! Still trying to unpack that one.

There’s no point being 4-2 when we could be 1-5?

tipped us losing today..but thought it may be close..so as far as I'm concerned we are on the right track..except for Longer..no more games for the moment. who would have thought Lonie would be a loss? luckily we have some coming into the side.
The crows are a good side and we are improving.....Parker :) Bruce was quiet so was Gresh...next week will stamp the season...but please..... no more Longer.
