They asked him to spare their boy from going to the Greater Western Sydney.
Richo told them that he would not trade pick No 1 even though we would not pick their boy.
But by denying GWS pick No1 their boy would be drafted by Melbourne.

Alternative 3
GWS offered pick No 4 and No 7 for pick Nos 1 and 21.
We would have at least expected an offer of pick Nos 4 & 6 for picks Nos 1 & 21 and rejected that.
But what we really wanted is pick Nos 4, 6 & 7 for pick Nos 1, 21 & 22
GWS were unreasonable.
